i think the real question is is are you ganking
And that statue...
I've always wondered why the statue has Ornstein's spear, even though the rest of the statue's broken bits don't look like Ornstein.

Once I get back from vacation we need to have some cospvp fights. Record them for posterity/bragging rights
Once I get back from vacation we need to have some cospvp fights. Record them for posterity/bragging rights
We'll see what we can do about that.
I seem to be getting a lot of people at Anor Londo at the stairs of the main door and not where i want them to be. There also seems to be a lot of people camping out at the Darkmoon Bondfire aswell.
also where'd you get your fancy recording thing? (Last time you answered that you posted the price in pounds, you slimy brit). Do they deliver to the US? Also how much is it in real money (American)?
it occurred to me recently that I post here more than anyone else and if I'm going to dish out advice I should probably be able to prove I'm not shitty at the game.
Plus a lot of absurd things happen to me when I fight and it'd be fun to record them.
[editline]5th January 2013[/editline]
You're invading from Solaire's bonfire, I assume?
In my experience when they're camping by the stairs, they've got summons hiding somewhere and they're trying to gank you. That is your cue to hornet bs the host as soon as possible and then spam shrug as his friends come to kill you
[editline]5th January 2013[/editline]
and by "slimy brit" i meant "drunk Scot"
Well I accidentally attacked Griggs of Vinheim and as I was running away from him, (I didn't want to kill him) he fell off the cliff in Firelink Shrine. Is there a way to get his spells he sold or am I unable to get the spells?
Go to Oswald, and pay for your sins if you haven't already. This will de-aggro Griggs.
bro he fell off the cliff and died
[editline]5th January 2013[/editline]
also i believe logan sells griggs' spells once you free him from Sen's but i'm not positive

I got my Game Capture from Amazon. For me, the Game Capture was £100, not sure what that would be in Dollars though.
I invade outside at the ledge you drop down onto just after the archers. I seem to be encountering a lot of Magic Users as well, which is a death sentence for me because its pretty hard to dodge when you only 1.5 equip away from walking the entire thing.
If the rotating staircase is down outside of Anor Londo, its a sure thing that the guy, normally by himself. Is just sitting there waiting for me to come in. Sometimes with magic that one shots me.
Cheers Mate!

When you invade on that ledge, where does it put you? IIRC the closest invasion spot there is the little square with the demons right before the archer gauntlet, but I haven't invaded there in a LONG time.
What magic is one shotting you bro? Unless you're fat rolling, you can avoid everything. If you ARE fatrolling, then you deserve it.
i think the real question is is are you ganking
If you're using black magic then yeah we're going to 2v1 the shit out of you but we usually just take turns in killing invaders~

Yeah, using the orb at the ledge brings you to the square with the two demon things.
Its Full on Havel, what do you expect at level 50?
>havel cospvp
>not using great magic barrier
pff casual
[editline]5th January 2013[/editline]
vow of silence and GMB are both valid havel spells
Wait
You're kidding right?

That was the easiest fuckin' boss fight ever.
Four hits. The giant skeletons are actually tougher.
:sigh: I hope Nito makes up for it.

wrong thread dingus
yeah but he doesn't post there and he posted here and it took me five goddamn hours to beat christopher robin so fuck you i demand praise
I fucking give up.
I boot up a new character in offline mode, because I'm sick of PvP in this game.
Everything goes well, I get cocky and get smashed by havel. No biggie, I didn't need those 1000 souls anyhow.
So I go up to taurus and decide to try something. I'm gonna shoot this motherfucker in his stupid face with this bow.
I do 60 damage per shot, okay wow this might actually work. I fire off roughly 75 arrows before my computer starts to flicker and freeze. Oh fuck no, I need to finish this fight.
I get him down to a sliver of health, and I'm certain this next shot will kill him.
I draw up my bow..

Dark Souls: Prepare to CRASH Edition.
let me translate that
>i'm not good at pvp
>i can't fight npcs either
>i choose to do 60 damage instead of 800 with a plunge
>my computer gets mad at what a bitch i am
Just got my gamepad, but I'm having trouble getting it to work with the game. It works fine, just not with Dark Souls. I've been looking around for different solutions but none of them have worked so far, any tips? I'm not using an official Xbox 360 controller, or PS3 controller btw.
Anyone? Kind of frustrating to buy a gamepad only to have it not work with the game you got it for :/
edit: nevermind, figured it out, had to uninstall mouse fix completely.

Or you can just stay hollow so there is no invasions...

I'm not good at pvp, I admit that.
The only reason I died to havel is because I'm not used to parrying his attacks. I was doing like 20 something damage per backstab and I got bored. I can dance with that fucker all day.
I choose to do 60 damage instead of 500 with a gold pine resin plunge because it was a way to mix things up. I'm not entirely happy with dealing with Taurus the way every other player and their mother does. (incoming special snowflake award)
And as for the computer comment, I am in no way a bitch. I don't cheese bosses or the game in general, I like to play it at a disadvantage.
Apparently because I don't like to cheese bosses and can't parry havel flawlessly 100% of the time, I'm a little bitch casual that can't play the game. /shrug
Or you can just stay hollow so there is no invasions...
I like my character to look good and actually have skin, it's just personal preference.
Than stop blaming the game for your problems that you clearly can fix.
Than stop blaming the game for your problems that you clearly can fix.
I wasn't blaming the game. The prepare to crash edition thing was a poor joke that gave off the wrong impression, and I apologize for it.
So basically every problem you have is something you're choosing to do. Heh.
For the record you can backstab Havel, but that's the generally accepted way to do it so it might be a bit generic for you.
[editline]5th January 2013[/editline]
Also I'd suggest actually playing and beating the game before you decide to be all unique and special so you actually know what you're doing.

And I'd suggest you stop assuming what other people have and haven't done.
I've beaten this game multiple times, completed a SL1 run, and am just dicking around at this point.
So, contrary to your belief, I DO know what I'm doing.
[editline]a[/editline]
I don't backstab Havel to death because, yes, it's a bit generic for me.
