who's tried this build out yet? I just finished it and it look like it's gonna be funny only concern is that HP is pretty low on account of dumping all the levels into strength

Your low HP doesn't really matter considering you'll be wearing some wonderful armor, have great poise and be winding fuckers off of ledges constantly. You'll only really have trouble if you invade NG+ or twinkers.
I've been fiddling around with the textures. Meet, Sir Smiley. [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/558706883112156080/CCF1F8C339D1A3B4225AD2ED574DCA4E3A1E36C7/[/t] [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/558706883112160238/F39028E3841CE3DFD92469405BF6AD0F72FE4AAC/[/t]
I was extremely skeptical of dark souls at first thinking, "I might not like it" I absolutely fucking LOVE it.

You have nothing to fear about the health especially if you use the ring of steel protection/iron flesh when it comes to melee.
the trick with a golem sens build is to not initiate directly. instead just fuck with them with the power attack, the knockback is HUGE
the overhead smash or the force blade throw attack? both attacks kind of kill everything I have to settle for the +4 axe though because finding all that titanite will take too long
problem is when you're trying to walk up to them and make them scared they run straight to the boss fog , and you're so slow it's not like you can chase them down even if you sprint - plus you have to deal with Tarkus along with the master of the world 70% of the time, although you can easily make Tarkus fall off. The main problem with the golem build I find is that people run away from you to do the boss fog.
perhaps I should spawn somewhere else besides above the last guillotine bridge then, so I can head them off

What's a good weapon for a dex build that isn't a katana?
What's a good weapon for a dex build that isn't a katana?
Rapiers, which so many underestimate. It isn't hard to get in someone's shit and poke them to death while being able to keep your own defense up (and if you upgrade it with lightning, fire, or chaos, dear god).
I do love it when I invade gankers/twinks. It gives me an excuse to pull out my +5 chaos rapier and throw on my hornet ring. They do more critical damage than everything, iirc. Edit: You can get a chaos rapier +5, and you won't need any dex/strength points apart from the wield requirement. It basically frees up a bunch of soul levels for you, while maintaining great damage and moveset.
What's a good weapon for a dex build that isn't a katana?
Along with rapiers, scythes kick ass too, once you get used to their moveset. Curved swords are also very reliable. If you feel the need to use something a little more strength-y, the Flamberge would fill that role.
Spears are also good. I love the pike.
Spears are also good. I love the pike.
Sadly spears lose their usefulness somewhat as soon as somebody brings in a bleed weapon.
Sadly spears lose their usefulness somewhat as soon as somebody brings in a bleed weapon.
I always just two hand a spear and poke them from a distance.
okay, go my sl1 to capra. here we go. [editline]18th November 2012[/editline] got
holy shit that last kill pfffffft
i just invaded two different people wearing the EXACT same armor combo wut
I like to call Blighttown Taco bell. why? because it's well known, a whole lot of people don't like it on principle, and it's all warm and gooey with enemies that shit fire turds.
i call it taco bell because they're both poisonous brown shit
I think I counted two more iron golem builds near the bonfire here, shoulda expected that failed to invade souls
i just invaded two different people wearing the EXACT same armor combo wut
Same thing happened to me, they were both throwing sunlight spears too. Senor Chaos Rapier saved my life.
I think I counted two more iron golem builds near the bonfire here, shoulda expected that failed to invade souls
Invading upper or lower Sen's? I'm standing around bored, not getting invaded or summoned, I tried a cracked orb and popped into another persons world almost instantly.
Invading upper or lower Sen's? I'm standing around bored, not getting invaded or summoned, I tried a cracked orb and popped into another persons world almost instantly.
up top, near the second bonfire, at SL 28 I gave up a while ago though after getting zero invasions, so I might try again later
I was extremely skeptical of dark souls at first thinking, "I might not like it" I absolutely fucking LOVE it.
I bought it the day it released, thought it was super boring, picked it up again a month or two later, and thought it was terrible. Then I decided to try it once more some time last spring and realized it's basically the best game in years. :v:
they should have named Ornstein and Smough, "You" and "Died"
Invaded someone in Anor Londo who was being chased by a silver knight and he ran into the bonfire room. Followed him in there, blocked the doorway... he proceeded to get killed by the silver knight. Walked over to where he died, did well what is it and look skyward... got indicted. :v:
As we're getting closer to the end of this character on my let's play I'm thinking more about what I want to do next. Right now my two big ideas I think would be fun are either going all crossbows and bows or do an SL1 darkwraith guide. What do you guys think sounds better?
