Took down Stray Demon with a Hunter's Knife +1 in like 2-3 minutes.
Just keep stabbing that ass and he's dead before you know it.
I think the stray demon was the only boss I actually questioned myself if it was a boss or just an enemy with a bigger healthbar and it only did butt slamming attacks
I mean really that's all it did for me
Where do I use the black eye orb? I've wiped out all ghosts in that lower area and explored (from what I can tell) all of it but it's still not lighting up.
the black eye orb is for use in Anal Rodeo; you will know when
unless you figured out a way to get the one for Shiva then I can't help you nor can anyone
I've defeated Artorias and Manus, but now I'm stuck on Kalameet. Mostly because I want to cut of his tail to get the weapon, and it's super-hard for me. I'm a slow heavy-hitter, so the only way for me to attack his tail is when he swoops past me and afterwards slams it on the ground. Only problem is that he dows the swoop once in a millennia and sometimes he doesn't smack the ground with his tail afterwards. I think I once managed to do like 800 damage to the tail then walked off the cliff trying to distance myself. :v:
Are there any tricks to cut the tail easily? The boss itself doesn't seem that hard, but I want the goddamn sword.

It's [sp]For the firelink lady[/sp]
Also what
Anor Londo= Anal Rodeo.
It's [sp]For the firelink lady[/sp]

to explain, there's a black eye orb (removed, still obtainable via Cheat Engine, etc) for Shiva.
anyways when you go to Anal Rodeo (come on, figure it out, Anor Londo) you will know when it's time to use it
Guys, is there any reason to kill these three asshole-wolves in Darkroot? There's only a soul item there and they are fucking hard to fight at once.
do you mean giant cats
Just lure them to the trees, they can't get through
Hah, the Iron Golem Arena, fucking Ice capades.
i'm pretty sure that was actually my favourite bossfight overall, once you find an opening and start landing hits the fight gets way more fun trust me
you have my permission to suicide when you reach bed of chaos

tip: kill ornstein first, powered-up smough is way easier to deal with than powered-up ornstein
Yeah but if you kill smough first the stuff you get from ornstein is way better/cooler IMO
A nooby question: Can I sell items/weapons I don't use, because right now they're only taking up space and cluttering my inventory. And which stats should I spend points in, I have no idea, so I just keep raising strength and sometimes health and stamina.
Man-Serpent Greatsword for the scaling and awesome moveset, it looks pretty ugly though. If we went for looks I'd choose the claymore or bastard sword. Currently using the BKS though, I find that direct damage is always more reliable than elemental fuckery or poison shit.
Just note that if you kill Ornstein first you won't get his swagadelic armor
Yeah, he can be pushed off the arena:

That boss was super easy for me. All you have to do is roll through his legs when he attacks and don't lock on and you'll never get hit
Bought this game during the Steam sale, been playing it for something like four hours now. Just got to the Taurus Demon for the first time without realizing that it was going to be there, and umm, ouch my face.
Also, I really want to not play Hollow but clearly that is not a good idea for me. I use my humanity, reverse Hollowing, then it seems about four or five minutes later I've invaded and fucked up. I'm burning Humanity like nobody's business.
But yeah, I'm so glad I bought this even though I totally suck so far. First time killing a skeleton has made me feel accomplished.
Being human in the first parts of the game when you are new is terrible, because the majority of twinks/trolls love to prey on new players by mass invading the undead burg and the undead parish. I'd advise staying hollow until you get a decent amount of gear, get to a decent SL, and/or get to anor londo or something (if you happen to get there early). Anor londo is full of invaders but IMO it's actually a lot of fun because at that point in the game you aren't going to clearly get raped and you have a good enough handle on the mechanics to not insta-die against a pro.
If you want to summon for a boss early game, what you can do is spend your souls/whatever, become human, wait around somewhere near the bonfire that is safe and get invaded (inevitably). Most of the time its going to be someone hacking or a troll/twink build so you won't be able to win unless you are really good at the game, but once you get invaded you can't be invaded again for another 10/15 minutes. So just die, go back to bloodstain (which should be easy to get to near the bonfire), become human and do the boss with your summons while you are safe from invasion. Or what you could do is summon ASAP (NPC summons are most reliable for this), and then rush to the boss door. If you get to the boss door the invader gets booted out of your game.
Korjax, you are aware that the only way to invade at a low level is to beat the Four Kings at a low level, right? Any low-level invasion is going to be a stomp.

There's a chest right next to firelink that has red-eye orbs you can get at level 1 easily (though you need to do the shortcut to the parish to get to it I think)

Which lasts for all of 4 invasions.
I have bad news for you..
Okay?
I should note I'm not making a build that supposed to be the best or anything, I'm mostly doing it to have a build that looks swag as hell with a cleric/paladin get-up. I love using straight swords so that's my theme. Sadly there's hardly any really interesting/unique/good straight swords in this game compaired to great swords/halberds/scythes/etc, but whatevs

I guess if you're doing something for the way it looks I can't argue.
For a while I used Astora's Straight Sword just because I already used Elite Knight armor and Crest shield :v:
Which lasts for all of 4 invasions.
Still is 4 invasions that anyone can easily do right from the start of the game for as many characters as they choose to make. And it still doesn't change the fact that the starting areas are terrible to regularly be human in if you are new and low level because they are invasion hot spots from very/souped up players for the purposes of preying on new players.

But apparently the silver knight sword with an enchantment is really, really good at +5. (close to 300 base damage, plus stat modifier, plus enchant). I plan on using it with the sunlight enchantment. Only problem is the sword requires ridiculously high base stats for what it is :\
Does Zweihander scale well? I'm using that right now.
Does Zweihander scale well? I'm using that right now.
the zweihander is a pretty solid weapon, you're good to go chief
Does Zweihander scale well? I'm using that right now.
its good for quality builds (40 dex/str) if you plan on using it on the normal upgrade path
a quality build is very flexible im in the process of making one right now

Not gotten to the spikey one yet but I don't really care for the look.
Sunlight sword requires killing that one sunbro right? I don't want to do that :(
Plus stat wise it seems almost identical to the long sword except slightly higher (205 base damage at +15, instead of 200). IMO not significant enough to really go out of my way to kill the dude who holds it (getting sin) over a longsword
Killing Solaire is his happy ending. Instead of making a longsword divine(why.jpg), use sunlight blade and buff it. Goes with the SSS quite well.
Killing Solaire is his happy ending.
Summoning him throughout the game, and finally at Gwyn is his happy ending.
[sp]I like to imagine that after he helped you defeat Gwyn he goes and defeats him in his own timeline, linking the fires and finally becoming grossly incandescent.[/sp]
So before i buy this game, can i play this with a ps3 controller and if not are the pc controls REALLY that bad?
You can, but you will have to make it emulate the xbox controller and download a set of PS3 control images.
Is there an alternative to going through Taurus Demon? I am not having a good time, decided to farm souls for like two hours, leveled up a bunch and got all the chainmail armor from that hidden trader guy with the annoying laugh. Now I lack direction.
