oh god I stopped watching because he wouldn't stop saying this game is bullshit really loudly and it hurt
ok fantastic I know you guys said not to really care about losing my shit but I just slipped off an edge and lost 4 humanity :c I mean, the souls are whatever, I had one level up I was about to use then quit (should have just quit), but that humanity... uhg, I feel like it'll take forever to get back. Whatever anyway, I was wondering, would you guys expect to see many summon signs in the Undead Burg? Basically all night I've just been cooping with people (usually incredibly unproductively dying for people at a higher level than me) but I have yet to see a single summon sign from another player. I have my ports forwarded and everything, so I dunno, and I guess it is pretty late, so it makes sense. I guess it doesn't matter now, since I'm no longer human and probably won't be for a little while. Ah well. But yeah, everyone I partnered up with dragged me down to fight the big lumbering dude who looks like a fat Black Knight and has a curved, huge blade. He just one hits me, so I'd kind of try to help but just get nicked by an attack and die. I mean it was pretty fun, the part where we'd fight through the whole place to get there, but, then it was just "oh there he is, oh you want me to go first? yeah ok. I'll try to backstab him, shit it didnt work/shit he just turned around. Oh ok bye I guess".
people usually dont put summons in the burg because there's no boss there that really needs help, so most of the summon signs are reserved for ganks. once you get to the parish you'll see more of them.
Why is it that even when I meet all the requirements for the halberd, I still stagger whenever I use it. My Dexterity is 13 and my Strength is 19. What gives?
Was playing around in low level multiplayer, got summoned to some cleric knight or something about to fight the Bell Gargoyles, we killed all the enemies around and in the church, and she decided to summon another phantom. So we were about to start the boss fight when we got invaded. Guy had a lightning Uchigatana and killed us each in one hit. Twinks aren't very nice. :v:

Well that explains alot. Thanks sunbros.

So I was making a Painting Guardian role play character following this build: http://mmdks.com/pff Then I realised that 2 swords is pretty hard, especially 2 swords as short as the Painting Guardian sword, so I think I might turn it into a remake of the old Uchigatana build I lost.
if you do it you'd better get damn good at parrying
PvE parrying is easy, but PvP parrying is pretty hard to pull off, I'll just take 4 points out of vitality and put them into strength.
you kind of have to learn to anticipate movement. with a build like that, you'll need to get good at baiting parries. also
The best Dark Souls video there is. [editline]9th January 2013[/editline] With the greatest thumbnail in the history of Youtube.
I'm sorry but this is the greatest Dark Souls video there is
Well, friend got the game, fresh meat etc., etc. He ended up getting really frustrated so I gave him some help in Undead Burg and surprisingly he managed to get under the dragon to that bonfire and open the shortcut game (Didn't even tell him, yay exploration!). Drop a summon sign after he's having way too much difficulty with the boar (insane amounts). As soon as I load in, we get invaded. We're both only at around level 5 since I made a new character. It's a guy with full-body Dragon going on. Hits me once by spamming Great Combustion, kill me. Punches my friend twice to kill him. Didn't take any damage from our hits. That wasn't fun. That wasn't fun at all.
whats a good way to kill capra demon? i ended up rage quiting he killed me so many times last night
whats a good way to kill capra demon? i ended up rage quiting he killed me so many times last night
Run to the right side of him and dodge when he attacks. Run up the stairs and deal with the dogs. After that you can just dodge the capras attacks and get a hit in.
I used TWoP for the first time in PvP today. Dear lord, my sides hurt.

I'm looking to trade for a +15 Falchion and/or a lightning/fire dex weapon sub-12 strength for levelling. I'm offering slabs/name your price. GFWL: Mount Dire

GFWL: Mount Dire
People don't really trade a lot. It isn't too hard to get a +15 Falchion anyway. Just spend some time in Lower New Londo getting chunks, and if you have slabs to trade then there's nothing else in your way.

I'm looking to build this new character fast, so if anyone's up for it, poke me on my id.
oh man upgrading your weapons makes such a big difference, So happy I figured out how to do it :v: Is it worth making your weapons divine?
oh man upgrading your weapons makes such a big difference, So happy I figured out how to do it :v: Is it worth making your weapons divine?
Only go divine or occult if you're going for a faith build. The way it works is Normal for Str/Dex build, Enchanted for Int build, Divine for Faith build, and Fire/Lightning for low level or no real specialisation.
So, after playing since release, I never really understood what people think about the raw upgrade path. Is it any good? Does it totally suck? What does it actually do?
So, after playing since release, I never really understood what people think about the raw upgrade path. Is it any good? Does it totally suck? What does it actually do?
Trade scaling for a raw damage bonus, as well as the ability to roast your weapon over a bonfire until it becomes well done. It does totally suck. You're better off going for other upgrades.

It could be useful for a character that just got to Parish and wants a damage boost on their longsword or something, but doesn't have lightning gear yet for obvious reasons. After that it's pointless.
