Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition(360,PS3,PC)v3 - Dark Magic is perfectly balanced - Games

Raw is useless unless you're doing a SL1 run or something, and even then it's only useful for about a half hour until you come across better options.

What the fuck? I just got killed by the fucking Gaping Dragon. Fucker kept flying into the air and I couldn't cut off his tail.

If you start the boss the invader effectively loses and gets bumped off your game.

So I do modify to +6 and then run it up to +10 that way or is there something I'm missing here

Picked this up during the steam sale. Rang the first bell, took the master key shortcut to the valley of drakes. Then I get to Blighttown. Oh god.

Three PvPs today First guy was a bit of a twinker but he got me fair and square. Immediately casts TWoP, using lightning katana and flips around for a 1-hit-KO backstab on my 1000+ hp character before I can get my weapon enchanted (I dind't know he knew I was there). There's a reason some of these people are likely indicted when they aren't at max soul level yet :v: but I would have been able to take him if I was more prepared for that type of player. He did that "bring it on" gesture afterwards of course... Second guy starts out decent, getitng hurt killing little grunts in duke's, heals, etc. We fight, I get some damage in here and there. Eventually I get a backstab in but the animation nor damage registers at this point, so its as if it never happened. I attack him and he takes zero damage (unblocked for both of my swings) and I get lag-stabbed to death immediately after. Obviously turned on his hack as soon as he started losing... Third guy went well. Flippy dude with bleeding katana but now I know to just stay away from those guys instead of trying to block them. He tried summoning but I cast TWoP. TWoP didn't end up doing much as he just ran away, and his summon never came. Eventually hut him down when I had an opening. Having a weapon with reach and decent speed really really helps when playing against flippy players that don't use shields and instead opt for high damage fast bleeding weapons. You can stay away from them and at the same time be able to get hits in, and because they can't effectively block it they'll always take a little bit of damage. Won that fight! :D If you "beat" the game is it game over or can you still play later? I'm at the point where all I have to do is kill nito, 4 kings, and the other dude to unlock the final boss area, so I'm just kinda PvPing and ranking up in Darkmoon instead of beating the game :p

Why not skip half of Blighttown is there something in the first half better than what I've seen of the second?

Never skip areas in Dark Souls on your first run, else you'll be missing out on loads of weapons and armor

I can honestly say that discovering the shortcut to Blighttown was honest-to-god blind exploration, I didn't realize it was a shortcut until I was in Blighttown and thought "Hey, what happened to those Depths I haven't heard anything good about, ever"

I heard that you can see the dark sign on your character, is it true?

I heard the pc version is a terrible fucking port correct?

Why aren't there more bees in Dark Souls?

At last, past blighttown. I found it tedious as fuck. Started doing sen's and it seems alot more fun already. But I wonder where the onion head knight went.

The worst part are the blowdart snipers, which you run into when you use the shortcut anyways. And they aren't bad if you have spider shield (you get it in depths) plus the fact they don't respawn [editline]9th January 2013[/editline] And poison isn't even that bad. And even then once you learn KB+M controls and use the mouse fix it's totally fine. Runs great, looks great, is stable, has good alt+tab support, etc. It's not a bad port at all, the only downside is the instructions all assume you have a controller and the game plays best with one.
