why would the armor based enemies in Anor Londo be weak against fire? It does not make a particularly enormous amount of sense to me from a logical standpoint. To me, it would make much more sense for them to be weak against Magic or Dark, since the location in general is very holy looking. This is really not as much of a complaint as it is a lore contemplation.
Archtrees and the old "Legendary" Titanite Slabs had magical properties, and the Silver Knights had to fight near both of these. If I remember, Silver Knights are pretty resistant to magic.
Got summoned at SL100 by someone who had less than 616 HP.... killed him in one hit. He was at full health too. Not sure why you'd never upgrade your vitality but whatever.
You could say that it makes sense from a subtle comedic standpoint, that he fights dragons while being weak to fire. Although any responsible dragonslayer would ensure that he is borderline immune to it.
Except for the fact that very few dragons used fire. The ones we know of are Black Dragon Kalameet, he uses Black Flames. There's the Hellkite Drake, but he's a Drake. As far as we know, the Everlasting Dragons had the same breath powers as Seath or Magic breath at the very least. Heck, they could have even used lightning. And you have to remember that the Dragons have been gone for hundreds of years by the time you fight Dragonslayer Orns. He could have lost his immunity to whatever the Everlasting dragons used building up an immunity to whatever it is that he fights uses.

For a moment, due to Ornstein being weak to fire, an interesting image appeared to me, that both Smough and Ornstein were frustrated bullies rejected from their lines of profession, deciding to take it out on significantly "easier" opponents by their standards.

[sp]Ornstein[/sp], [sp]Gough[/sp], [sp]Artorias[/sp], and [sp]Ciaran[/sp] are the Four Knights of Gwyn, right? Smough hangs out with Ornstein, right? [sup][sup][sup]crazy shit, huh?[/sup][/sup][/sup]
Aight. Back to my Quality Build now.
That reminds me of someone in Steam Hub who was doing a "I don't give a fuck build" in which he leveled completely random stats regardless of consequences.
When i first started playing dark souls i thought all your items you carry add to your overall load, so i threw away all my arrows and random items i though i wouldn't need, look at load, see it still the same, thought my game was bugged so i started a new game, until i realized later on that only the equipped stuff added load.
This game is weird. I'm at the final boss' doorstep, and I don't even know where the Great Hollow or Ash Lake is. Time to explore, I guess.
I am sure this has been asked before but. I have just received the Lordvessel. Upon using it what can I do and no longer do?
Not really spoilers or anything but If you want to join darkwraiths at all (dudes who can invade and/or actually buy cracked red eye orbs) you can't side with frampt (aka putting the lordvessel in the altar with frampt) If you don't care about invading then it doesn't really matter [editline]10th January 2013[/editline]
This game is weird. So glad they got rid of that in Dark Souls.
today, i killed gwyn and reached ng+ in the undead parish, somebody (probably some high-level-first-playthrough) guy invaded me dressed up as lautrec, curvy swords and all after farting around a bit (he threw an alluring skull at me what the hell) he backstabbed me i could almost see the look on his face over the internet after i got back up only missing 1/4 of my health [editline]10th January 2013[/editline] he then proceeded to book it the fuck away from me and back through the parish this lasted about 40 seconds before i 1hko-backstabbed him and bowed to him like an honorable hero
i invaded a guy except it was 2 players in anor londo so i ran to the princess while they were chasing me but once i got up to the elevator i waited a few seconds then fell down the bannisters before they knew what was up so after reaching the ground i sprinted off and hid in a remote room somewhere deep, another player invades after a few minutes and i run to the smashed window atop the gates to the prior-Ornstein&Smough room, wait there for a bit, another player invades so i rush down the small place you get an item in, then rush down the stairs and push the lever so the tower-bridge goes up we stared at each other for 10 mins before one of them left and the master committed suicide

But then again, Maybe Orny got tired of being borderline immune to fire and wanted the extra badass challenge of pure badassitude while fighting dragons? Any tips for Gwyn, still using a Zweihander +14 but he moves too fast and lands too many combos. Also is the BKGA any good?
parry that bitch
parry [editline]11th January 2013[/editline] tyler parry's house of pain starring gwyn

I almost killed the fatguy and the smallguy on my first try. Fatty had one hit left in him and then he did the charge attack and i died.

I always found it funny how Smough, the biggest and most intimidating of the two, has pretty bad defense. I did about 200 damage on Smough with some attack and only about 100 or so on Ornstein with the same one.
That is definitely a very interesting theory. Indeed, what if he was a complete god among dragonslayers, and decided to acquire more excitement from stripping himself down? It does sound like something that would happen in the Dark Souls universe.

alluring skulls only work on fleshy monsters, yes. (which makes sense, they're skulls) also what are you wearing? mid rolls are terrible, fast rolls are safer.

It has just about the highest defense you can get at SL1. Don't underestimate armor at SL1, it can mean the difference between getting 1-shot or 3-shot you can see a comparison of my light and heavy builds here if you want: http://youtu.be/flqnQIkrmG8?t=1m53s
One hour ago I had my first encounter with the four kings. One hour later and I am onto my fifth encounter with the four kings. This is hard.
