My girlfriend started playing yesterday... She asked me to teach her...
Minimize/maximize. It's the concept of getting the most you can out of the most optimized set of stats. If you invade somebody that's using armor from several sets, they probably min-maxed their armor for as much poise/defense as they can get with their endurance level.
Not really, given the optimiser comes up with another armour set that gives an extra 40 defence, extra poise and keeps the mask. Mixing sets isn't always the result of min/maxing. You invaded me in Anor Londo the other night and my Black Knight/Lords Blade combo was just something that looked cool.
omg the game glitched when I walked over a crack in new londo and threw me into the water all my rage
hate it when the movement physics glitch out and kill you, which unfortunately happens way more than it should.
My girlfriend started playing yesterday... She asked me to teach her...
Do it brah. It's gonna be fun, i'm sure.
Is it worth making a divine weapon for the catacombs even if your faith is low?
My girlfriend started playing yesterday... She asked me to teach her...
Give her the D rake sword except don't this is a bad joke
Is it worth making a divine weapon for the catacombs even if your faith is low?
Yeah, just upgrade something simple with a decent moveset. You'll only use it once when before you kill all the Necromancers and probably again in Nito's lair just to make the fight pissweak. You can handle a bit of low damage for that small period.
Is it worth making a divine weapon for the catacombs even if your faith is low?
I would say yes, but only use it for the skeletons, and make sure it's not a weapon you're planning on using afterwards because it's only going to be usefull for killing skellies.
Give her the D rake sword except don't this is a bad joke
I don't get the hate on the Drake Sword, yeah it has no scaling which makes it basically useless later on, but it's base damage makes it amazing in the early game.
Im thinking maybe the halberd or the winged spear?
Im thinking maybe the halberd or the winged spear?
Don't use a pierce weapon like a spear, from what I remember and also common sense that doesn't work well against skeletons. Cutting weapons work fine, but blunt weapons are the best because they knockdown the skeletons like mad, you can get a mace just about at the beginning of the game and it works great, i'd recommend using that.
After I've fought Nito wat do I do? I'm kind of at a loss here :v: Also where do I access the DLC areas?
After I've fought Nito wat do I do? To get to the DLC areas, first you have to go to Darkroot Basin and kill the Hydra, after that you need to return after leaving the area and destroy a crystal golem with a golden hue and a cage on it's shoulder that hides in a cave on the other side of the lake the hydra was in to save Dusk, after that you need to go to the Duke's Archives and kill another crystal golem early in the area, which drops a broken pendant. After getting the pendant you have to return to the cave you saved Dusk in.

I much preferred that to the mace and it knocked them down as well
Do it brah. It's gonna be fun, i'm sure.
It's a bit hard, 2 hours of solid trying to teach her to parry because she wanted to learn... Apparently not as easy as I thought... We are getting there.
Give her the D rake sword except don't this is a bad joke
I refuse to let her use that abomination... Plus I may have made that joke already... ):
"Woman goes mentally insane after playing video game"
We call that hollow.
I've fought the Centipede thing, Sif, The fire demon (similar to the one at the start of the game only covered in fire) and Seath.
Then all you're missing is New Londo and Lost Izalith. Have fun with that.
[sp]SIEGMEYER NOOOOOOOO![/sp]
I got invaded for the first time last night, some jerk in that rock looking armour (this is at level 20 in the undead parish) with a axe, nearly killed me with one hit. Then I cast force and he fell off the bridge :v:
Rolled through a WoTG. :downs:

if im at the bonfire in the depths where is easiest place to reach with item to cure curse? shouldnt have gone after ring of evel eye with 10k xp
if im at the bonfire in the depths where is easiest place to reach with item to cure curse? shouldnt have gone after ring of evel eye with 10k xp
Go to the belltower and buy the curse removing stones from Oswald. It's generally a good idea to grab one or two when you ring the first bell if you plan on going through the depths.
if im at the bonfire in the depths where is easiest place to reach with item to cure curse? shouldnt have gone after ring of evel eye with 10k xp
How do you think I feel going up against Artorius with 200,000 souls?
if im at the bonfire in the depths where is easiest place to reach with item to cure curse? shouldnt have gone after ring of evel eye with 10k xp
The female undead merchant. As long as you've killed the butchers all you should have to fight on the way to her is hollows and dogs. Unless you walk too slow in the slime hallway. Hell, it's either her or Oswald up in the church so either way you've gotta go pretty much the same path. Just for Oswald you pay more and you have to fight the hollows at firelink/on the way up to Oswald. [editline]11th January 2013[/editline] Oh wait I'm wrong Oswald sells them for half the price.
5 ghosts at once coming out of the floor and walls? just what I wanted
ghosts are just hollows you have to use curses on, I wouldn't worry about them
