why do so many characters go EHEHEHE after saying something it makes me feel uncomfortable
Turning hollow is funny business.
why do so many characters go EHEHEHE after saying something it makes me feel uncomfortable
I find it completely hysterical, personally I think that they should have extended it even further, and ensured that every single character had a creepy laughter, making it procedurally get creepier as the game goes along, until the final boss had a laughter messed up to the point of it barely even resembling laughter.
I am seriously starting to think that I should start a different character, I did not upgrade my vitality with this one whatsoever, and attempted too much to make him universal, resulting in him having too many pointless stat points, while having no margin for error whatsoever. I am also starting to get the impression that strength and dexterity are not just alternatives, and that certain situations genuinely require strength, while others genuinely require dexterity, it does not appear to be possible to go through certain things on a comfortable level with dexterity alone. I have played for 60 hours, and am currently level 41, and appeared to have genuinely hit a dead end in terms of stats, everything from this point either takes too much freakishly boring grinding, or too much opportunistic bullshit of me dying in one hit.
Generally its a good idea to only level up vitality+endurance until 1. You run into equipment you want to use that require higher stats 2. You already have more than enough vit/endurance for your level 3. You've pretty much already got a good amount of vit+endurance and cant' see yourself really ever needing more than that, and already have the gear you'd want and simply want to increase your damage output In which case put points into Str/Dex or Faith/Int depend on what you play as Attument every now and then is good too if you cast anything, but you generally don't need more than 3/4 attunement slots at the most. Resistence is totally useless, never level into that. Make sure you always upgrade your armors/weapons over leveling up - gear upgrades are generally much more powerful and impacting than what you can do with a level up, plus you don't want to overlevel for the area you are in. Also, why do you not have... any armor at all? Or poise? Those are hugely important, especially poise. You'll want to try and get at least above 50 or so poise. No armor isn't a huge deal if you focus on moving really fast and dodging, but you have to be really good at those things for it to really work.

I have also indeed been focusing on upgrading my weapons quite consistently. I do not really need any attunement because so far I just use soul arrows to lure enemies out. I did not level any resistance at all. My main error consisted in the fact of me not taking care of vitality whatsoever, as well as trying to be too universal in dexterity and strength, without realizing that leveling them in such an overkill manner is completely pointless. I also realized that a dexterity build is probably really not for me, I always play like a heavy tank, not a ninja. If I were to be more specific, I either enjoy running through, or standing dead still and overpowering my enemy, I do not really have a middleground unless completely necessary. I was definitely thinking of wheezing, guttural, or frantic noises myself. In all honesty, I would actually like to rephrase myself, I probably do prefer dexterity, I just need to ensure that I am also very beefy.
Did another thing
im wondering why gwyn ordered the city of giants to be guarded by itty bitty little silver knights [editline]12th January 2013[/editline] seriously what if all the knights were the size of the sentinels
what if they're all giants and as they grow older they get huge? silver knights could be the youngest and fielded en masse. black knights are the older knights and survivors of the fire linking. artorias is older than black knights but younger than sentinels who are old as hell. The giant blacksmith, the giants at Sen's, and Gough are the oldest we see?? Of course it could all just be because japan but whatever [editline]12th January 2013[/editline] Wait but the what the fuck is the deal with Ciaran? She's shorter than you and her dialogue implies she's not human.

This game is like a gigantic kidney stone. I'm a Knight using a Zweihander +5 in the Blight, level 36. I'm just getting gang raped, repeatedly.
I fucking hate every time I'm human in Anor Londo. First I get a hacker killing an NPC and making the city dark and leaving me with the Lordvessel and no fucking clue what's going on. So I started a new playthrough to preserve my experience. On the new playthourgh, just a minute or two ago, I'm sitting in the bonfire room before Smaug/Orn (exactly the same place I got hack invaded) and I had just successfully summoned a co-op partner. The guy's AFK or something and then bam I get invaded. Fight in bonfire room and I accidentally aggro Solaire. Solaire ends up killing me instead of invader. I respawn and am forced to kill Solaire. Solaire is the only NPC besides Andre I've actually liked, and I had to kill him. I really can't fucking even play this game anymore tonight, fuckity fuck nerdrage fucking wanker invader fucker nerdrage fuck.
i bought that chivalry game thinking my knowledge of dark souls would come in handy. swords and shields and whatnot. that was not the case.

How does karmic justice work? I thought it was supposed to blow up if you took damage.
How does karmic justice work? I thought it was supposed to blow up if you took damage.
It blows up once enough damage is dealt to you.
It blows up once enough damage is dealt to you.
I've only had it trigger once. Is it a specific kind of damage or any kind?
I've only had it trigger once. Is it a specific kind of damage or any kind?
Melee damage only.
Don't know why it isn't working then. Letting these silver knights hit me and nothing happens and I just die.
Don't know why it isn't working then. Letting these silver knights hit me and nothing happens and I just die.
You might not have enough health. It's probably not the best idea to do anything that requires taking damage to deal damage. I have seen Karmic Justice used to great effect in PvP though.
Can't believe I didn't notice until now. The balder set armor is more or less exactly the same armor Guts uses in Berserk.
If only we had unbroken balder set and noncrystalline armor.
Can I put fire on my Black Knight Halberd?
No you can't, all weapons that upgrade with twinkling titanite can not be upgraded to elemental or be buffed (screw you SKS)
Don't know why it isn't working then. Letting these silver knights hit me and nothing happens and I just die.
You have to get hit multiples times in quick succession.
It seems to work fine if I'm under 25% weight. That's odd but pvping will be funnier now.
Thinking about doing an archer run, any suggestions?
Thinking about doing an archer run, any suggestions?
Black Bow of Pharis and loads of dex.
Is the Cursed Greatsword of Artorias worth using? I accidentally seem to have made it instead of the normal one. I would need to use 20 levels to meet the requirements, however it seems to have neat stat bonuses.
Thinking about doing an archer run, any suggestions?
Black Bow + 999 Heavy Arrows High DEX and END Ring of Fog + Hawk Ring
Black Bow of Pharis and loads of dex.
The composite bow is significantly quicker per shot and only does 30 less damage at 40 Dex. Ideally you would use both with Composite for close range and BBoP for long, but I'd pick composite otherwise.

Instead pick some weapon for your class STR/DEX/INT etc. I ended up on my first character making it a hybrid of everything for that weapon.

Composite bow would probably be better used on bosses.
