Finally got around to uploading some pictures of my sister and I at Shadocon in Florida.

Sister (on the right) is Celty from the Durarara anime. I'm Solaire (left). Yes, that's a bucket I painted silver. Yes, Solaire has iron bracers. They broke off on Day 1. This is Day 2.

Man this game goes fast when you start a new character. I remember blighttown taking a while but now I whizzed through it in less than half an hour. Anyways, this is my new build, about to go and face O&S. 2-handing a +5 Fire Zweihander, with a Lightning Claymore for backup. Probably going to switch to the claymore once I get it to +5 since I like that moveset more. Am I ready for O&S or not? http://mmdks.com/quh

you're not ripped enough to be Solaire
consider being the Undead Merchant next time

I know. My sister totally pointed out the same thing, but I insisted on being him.
My sun looked like it was setting.
Also, I am now considering your suggestion.
Gonna just start again, I've seen people skip the asylum part when starting a new character, how can I do this?
Whats the average level range in NG+?
80-120 I think.
I tested out a noticeable amount of quick characters so far, and am starting to actually narrow down what I am interested in. It ultimately appears to be a good idea to abandon them as soon as possible, you thankfully need very little time to actually realize if something works or not.
Although we would all be probably be interested in the ability of resetting your stats.
Killing invaders while they're using an emote animation makes them pretty mad.

If I am invading low level (30 - 40) and they attack me during my bow, I swap out my chaos weapons and give them the beatdown.

Maybe it'll teach them not to leave themselves open to attack.
Incoming dumbs, I feel it.

also this is horrible, I keep getting invaded by people but I can never find them
rip pvp in the forest for me
As somebody who hasn't looked at anything about this game but yet has heard about it's shockingly difficultly, I am very inclined to pick this up. Good or bad choice?

It certainly doesn't take baby steps with you and the difficulty curve is challenging rather than patronising. That said, once you get the hang of it it's not too hard and people who have been playing it for a while forget they ever found it hard.
The combat is fairly deep and allows a good deal of customisation, the world is interesting and beautiful, the story is subtle but good, and the experience is by far one of the best this generation. It's a good purchase whatever you do.

Good, takes some getting used to, but when you figure out how things work it's not that frustrating.
Dark Souls was a learning experience for me.
It starts off kinda hard, but once you get far enough and get the hang of it, you begin to enjoy it more than you previously did.
Once you beat it it's fun, once you beat NG++++++++ (I'm only on +7 at highest right now, I think 8 is the cap or something) it's still fun because then you discover PvP.
PvP is all I do in the game now. It's a lot of fun.
so I got Demon's Souls and one of the first messages I see is: "Sticky White Stuff" with a couple thousand ratings
wonderful
so my brother bought this for me
Is it more fun to go in dry and blind without knowing anything, or should I prepare?
I at least want to know what class is good to start with.

You can start with any class really. Only thing you should really prepare for is to die.

And don't level resistance.

I really feel like we should get a mod to edit the title to have 'STARTING CLASSES DO NOT MATTER' (v3 better fucking have that or at least at the top of the OP)
-read the OP yo

Pyromancer, Warrior, and Bandit are pretty good starter classes. Honestly, it doesn't matter. Classes just affect your starting stats and gear.
they aren't actually classes, the only differences between them are what stats and gear you have at the start
you can end up playing with any play-style you want
and play it blind, if you use a guide you're a fagget and should kill yourself
THIRD QUESTION
I don't have Excksbawks Live.
Will that ruin Dark Souls? Should I buy it JUST to play Dark Souls?
[sp]and maybe dabble in some halo[/sp]

the online is alright; on the upside, you can summon people to help you. on the downside, you can get invaded and shit wrecked.
it won't ruin the game; doing it solo (that means without NPC summons, too) will make you a better player
[sp]if you are accustomed to the game and/or me, reverse the above[/sp]
People invade your up side while npcs take your down side? Oh ho ho, I like how you think.
my way of thinking is the more people who invade me and die by my hand / people I invade, the more fun and the better. right now I do shit in the forest because I love being triple teamed even if it's by people who seem to fit the level of skill in the thread [sp]you people LIKE dark magic for fuck's sake[/sp] (don't click if you are a regular here who usually rates me dumb) or people who are really good at the game.
although the forest seems to be dying. I might go back to Oolacile even if it's full of people who know what's OP and what's not and one invader at a time

You certainly enjoy rather definitive statements, don't you?
You certainly enjoy rather definitive statements, don't you?
he's right though
using a guide makes the game a lot less fun and if you consider it, consider investing in a gun to shoot yourself with
