Divine weapons are fine against everything except the DLC bosses.

going by your strength and dex I'd say you wouldn't exactly be the kind to use a claymore but as long as it works for you (as long as you can one-hand the claymore)

Oh god fought Sif with the alternate cutscene unlocked from the DLC ;_____; [QUOTE=Rents;39220701]Is there something that makes it bad for this?[/QUOTE] Divine is just in-general semi-bad because it seriously degrades physical damage you do with the weapon in favor of just adding more magic damage that scales with faith (which is nice against things that have no magic resist, but awful agianst things that have high magic resist) I.E. a longsword at +5 does about 130 damage (plus scaling based on Dex/Str), but turning that +5 into a divine makes it do only 80 damage with WORSE scaling based on Dex/Str. However it adds about 100-120 or so magic damage with faith scailing, which will get completely negated if you are going against anything with high magic resist. It's generally a better idea to keep your damage source as one rather than splitting it (in this case, by making it divine, you split a weapon between dealing physical and magic damage), because the more damage sources a weapon does the more that gets "resisted" from enemies with good armor or the capability to block certain damage types. Which is why +15 is nice, because nothing is really 100% resistant to pure physical damage, the only thing that stops it is really high armor, which usually only really slow tough enemies (that are resistant to EVERYTHING) have. The other advantage of having high physical damage versus high magic damage, is that the higher your physical damage output the more likely you are to break guard against someone blocking, and the more likely you are to damage the target's poise from your attacks. That said its not like divine is super terrible or anything, it does add plenty of damage, and tons of it if you are high faith. Occult is a little better because it scales much better with faith (A rating) plus increases the base phsyical damage of the weapon a little. You lose the "divine" effect though (making sure skellies stay dead, pretty much).

I'm still a little confused about weapon upgrading, I have a Great Club +6 and I was planning on getting it to +10 or +15 but I can't seem to upgrade it past 6 at Andre. And is that what I should be doing to get the best result on a STR based character?

I am longing for a new playthrough again, although I don't know what kind of build I should make. I've played this game to death and want something unique or exciting. Faith build is a build that I barely touched or failed to successfully use.

So I'm invading in the Painted World I see this guy has someone summoned. Oh it's fucking on. I run into the arena, guns blazing, and guess who it is? A SL99 Chaoshander Giant Dad. His Summon? A dragonbro using nothing but his fists. I get my shit handed to me somehow, I guess I panicked because of the summon. I get the message; ENTER THE DRAGON. I send him the message; CHAOSHANDER GIANT DAD, IS THAT YOU? I recieve the message: WHAT ARE YOU, CASUL? oh the fucking people that play this game.

Eventually he came at me. I smacked him with my shield and suddenly he goes "I AM INGWARD (something like that) KEEPER OF THE SEAL (something like that) PREPARE TO MEET YOUR DOOM" so now hes pissed at me. Can I eh, fix this somehow?

Dark Bead is sort of my panic spell. I spend most of my time fighting w/the Moonlight Greatsword I love invading people who are actually pretty smart about avoiding dark magic, but totally don't expect to get their shit parried when I stop casting and they charge in.
