Time the pendulum swings and use the floor traps against the enemy.
And for the love of god, remember to activate the shortcut, as it is a BITCH to have to climb that thing multiple times.

PIECES OF FUCKING SHIT EVERY TIME I START A NEW CHARACTER I HAVE TO DEAL WITH THESE FUCKING FAGGOTS GODDAMNIT

You mean the Anor Londo archers?
Last time I checked, New Londo doesn't have any :v:
The test of man.
To run up a small roof topping while having fucking LANCES launched at you from both sides.
Tip, take the left one out first. While you fight him the one on the right can't hit you. Try doing it the other way and the one on the right can hit you while you fight the one on the left.
I seriously never found what was so difficult about them. Even on my first run I only died about once or twice. Once you get to the guy on the right you have it in the bag.
I'm going to continue my no shield ironman run. I'll probably complain about RPGs in general while I do it too.
I always rush towards the right knight and get him to pull out his sword, then rush back to the center tower so he falls to his death. You might get hit by an arrow from the left archer on the way to the right archer, but you probably won't die or fall off if you hug the wall.
Or just poison arrow those fuckers and wait.
Easiest way is to just sprint the whole way up, then roll once to get close enough.
Then parry/ Just block till he falls off.
Had to do it so many times whilst PvPing that it's not really an issue for me now.
I fell off maybe twice my first try, either one doesn't seem to be able to shoot you once you get within melee range. My second character had fast-rolling and did it first try, along with helping out someone else here without any problem.
I didn't find it so bad, the Bed of Chaos jump on the other hand was murder.
Fuck those demon spear dudes in Anor Londo. I don't get it, none of my swings ever seem to connect.
Wow. Just finished recording more of my no shield ironman run. Almost an hour long. Going to have to split the video into two again.
I have also learned that I need to upgrade my weapon more.

or demon great hammer
using that on my new character got it from the tutorial boss. its scary using that on the gargoyles
I've never really had a problem with the AL archers, I just run up and rush the one on the right. The left side one can't hit you and the right side one usually falls off trying to attack you. You have to be able to tank a few hits to your shield before he falls, since you'll be trapped against the wall, so lighter characters might have more trouble with this.
If there is one thing that makes me angry in Demon's souls is I tend to be killed a lot by bosses when I'm on the floor incapable of moving ..
Yeah Maneater I'm looking at you you dick
I can't even tell you how long I spent on those pieces of shit.
Finally defeated Gwyn for the first time. Now I can sleep.
Finally.

How many tries did it take you? He's probably killed me ~10 times so far, once when I had him down to 1 parry left before he died. Fuck, it seems like his parry window isn't consistent at all, especially with his lunge attack.
I got him on my second try.
Me and Solaire fucked him up reaaal good.

How does this look, Gentlemen?
Is it even possible to play this with a keyboard and mouse?
Is it even possible to play this with a keyboard and mouse?
I suppose if you rebind it all to something more comfy, then i'd imagine it would be...
If you wanted the extra challenge.
Is it even possible to play this with a keyboard and mouse?
Yes it's very possible and everyone that tells you it isn't, is a pleb.
The only thing that cocks up on keyboard+mouse is the auto targetting which gets super twitchy, but it's nowhere near as drasticly unplayable as most people make it out to be.
Mouse fix fixes the targeting and wonky mouse acceleration, so yes DaS is perfectly playable with KB+M.
Dark Souls is definitely playable with Keyboard/Mouse if you use the fix that comes with DSFix, so if you don't have a controller you potentially could. It's just, why would you want to? I understand not wanting to buy a controller just for this game, but if you have one already it'll play much better if you use it.
Keyboard and Mouse works fine, but I guess it kind of depends on your mouse. I have an old Razer one that I got last year for my birthday and I have all attacks, parry and block bound to it.
When I get enough money I'll probably buy a gamepad just for the sake of having it and the other games I could play with it.
I know they're inexpensive, I just don't have any spare dosh.
Long story short: You can, just something to get used to, not as fluid and the default key bindings are a little iffy until you adapt.
Fuck it, I'm about to be done with my 5 day vacation, I wanna get annoyed at some Dark Souls, so I'm gonna do an SL1 playthrough
How do I go about doing this?
If you want to do it the traditional way, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAqgcL6FbfE is a pretty good guide for what to use and how to do it.
a commonly asked question is what makes the weapons he is using so good, well;
The Reinforced club has the same poise break as a greatsword(54), so you can stagger gargoyles and such to death.
The Balder shield has a whopping 75 stability when fully upgraded to +15, making blocking a lot of attacks possible.
Whatever, you don't get anything for killing someone in arena. Just rank in leaderboards. I like invading getting invaded more. Also there's a time limit which is bullshit.
so join forest nerds????
The Balder shield has a whopping 75 stability when fully upgraded to +15, making blocking a lot of attacks possible.
That's pretty nice. I've mostly been using the Crest/Dragon shield due to the huge magic/fire resistance, they've both got 66 stability and weigh 3.
I can cover the weight by dropping my bow when I don't need it but would the extra 9 stability be worth it? In PvE when I know the enemies won't be using elemental, it might come in handy if it makes a difference.

"Ha-ha, time to get ganked". No, I'm a darkwraith4lyfe.

Probably around 10-15. I gave up on the parrying method, cuz I'm awful at it. I just ended up soaking in damage with the Greatshield of Artorias, got in a hit or two when I could, healed, rinse and repeat.
I've got 30 dexterity, I'm using a sharp war scythe, good choice of weapon? Demon's Souls btw
Killed Quelaag last night, decided to join forest hunter.
The fun never ends! I'm fairly sure the butcher knife's 1h heavy attack scares people, because they never seem to block it.
