Good fucking lord I hate Anor Londo so much. I can't just simply run to Smough and Ornstein's boss room without having to jump through so many fucking obstacles (aka enemies) and pray I don't get fucking invaded at the same time. I've burned through so many humanities for Solaire's help and I can't fucking beat these two assholes.
No one said that it'll be easy.
Need help on 4 kings... <--add me if you feel like helping.
I wound up beating four kings the way I did on my first time through the game. Full havel armor, no shield, attack spam. Not looking forward to NG+ when I cant cheese it.
Also thinking of doing an SL1 run, any tips?
Don't summon anyone for help if you can avoid it, it makes the experience more rewarding to beat Starsky and Hutch by yourself.

I didn't even know why people thought they were hard until I saw a video of someone else playing them and they had to fight multiple kings because they couldn't kill them fast enough. It's seriously a pretty easy fight if you have high enough DPS to where you never deal with more than one king at a time.
Is there any way I can change this Sorc+BSS build to a Sorc+Ricard's Rapier build? Adding dex instead of something else? I'm going for SL 100. Ignore everything but the stats themselves for now. I plan to use Crystal Magic Weapon.

so i tanked ng+ seath like this except that instead of the BKGS (it's bad) i used the dragon tooth with gold pine resin, and i can basically fart out massive damage to him while blocking his stunlock tail attacks
Here is my beautiful character [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/884097485287146864/308B35C10C0A8E911524C025631D3E5BF41E3579/[/t] And his theme song [editline]18th January 2013[/editline] Note: I don't actually use dragon tooth, I just equipped it because my actual weapon (MSGS) clips with my armor, and wouldn't look as good in a screenshot
i'll high-five you over the internet if you can med-roll in all that shit [editline]18th January 2013[/editline] dragon tooth included
SL98 characters can't get invaded by SL120s right?
Does anyone know how to get the DSFixKeys to work? Specifically the key to enable the 30 fps lock.
Okay lol Bed of chaos is probably the worst boss in the whole game Lost izalith would have been a much more interesting area if it wasn't for the fact that you had to spend several long minutes running from the bonfire all the way at the beginning of probably the single largest area in the game all the way to a boss door every time you died. The worst part about the boss itself is that its supremely easy to figure out what to do but you are garunteed death simply because of bottomless pits and needing to be a master at a platforming mechanic that is frankly awful and isn't one of the game's strong points It really wouldn't be that bad if I didn't have to go through the entire of izalith every time I died. Most deaths I have are setbacks and usually not super annoying for me, since there is a sense of legitimate error on not reacting to a situation well enough or being too headstrong and not having patience or whatever. But this is legitimately irrating every time I die because it's simply a grind. I know what to do, and I either kill the boss and get it over with or I am 100% garunteed to die, reguardless of level, tactical thinking, etc. It depends entirely on your ability to make an accurate pixel-perfect jump instead of needing legitmiate strategy to beat, or needing to learn from mistakes to beat. His attacks are super easy to block, you can't actually do any direct damage or anything to him, and its super easy to figure out what to do. The hard part is either you make a pixel perfect jump or you die (having to go back to the beginning of a massive area), and making sure to only jump when he's not attacking (as you are garunteed death by falling otherwise). I've died here more than any other boss in the game and it's entirely because of a bad jumping mechanic at the right time versus it being about making a real mistake to learn from or a badly timed swing
While on the subject of frustration, a silver knight spearman killed me through a wall, costing me 25k souls.
Bed of chaos really isn't hard...

Any of you guys ever recorded Dark Souls with Dxtory? It records like shit. Got any tips on how to configure this shit?
Any of you guys ever recorded Dark Souls with Dxtory? It records like shit. Got any tips on how to configure this shit?
Due to the way it hooks the process it mucks around with DSfix which is doing the same thing. Which fucks it up, you can sort of get it to work but to be honest It's one of the few you really just need to use fraps for.
The whole demon ruins and Lost Izalith area seemed really rushed and poorly designed in general compared to the rest of the game.
It's like they spent so much time crafting every other area and when they had to make the Demon Ruins they were like "Ah, just throw a load of bosses in there, no one will notice that the place is tiny." In Lost Izalith they just pasted as many dragon butts as they could without lagging the game.
wait dragon butts is what what bounding demons are supposed to be are you fucking serious oh my lord
you couldn't tell they were dragon butts?
Bed of Chaos: Kill 1 Orange thing > Quit Game > Kill other orange thing > Quit game > Kill BoC
I never had trouble with the Anor Londo Archers. BoC was easy as shit. The Slugs in blighttown hit me more often than the Anor Londo Archers. Also, I love pvping with the Silver Knight Str Sword. Nobody expects those R2s to take off so much stamina.
SL98 characters can't get invaded by SL120s right?
They can get invaded by darkmooners, but not darkwraiths. Darkmooners invade anyone under their own level, darkwraiths invade anyone higher.
I've been using and upgrading the regular halberd you find behind the boar in the Undead Parish. It's at +10 at the moment [sp]I'm on the roof of Sen's fortress, mercilessly killing the giants[/sp] and doesn't do a whole lot of damage but that's probably because my str and dex aren't that high. I fucking love the moveset though, it's just so fun to use, and the way you recover twice as fast without tumbling forward after a poke if you actually hit your target is awesome. Will this come back to bite me in the ass later though? I don't want to invest all my resources into tender love for this weapon only to get one that's the same but better later on, or find out it turns into a toothpick against later enemies/bosses and NG+ :( Also not sure if I should bring it to +15 or make it raw and focus on vit/end. I'm thinking the former though. What do you guys think?
I really need something better than the Drake Sword. What shouls I start upgrading? (I've recently rung the first bell.)
The whole demon ruins and Lost Izalith area seemed really rushed and poorly designed in general compared to the rest of the game.
Out of all the 4 bosses in Demon Ruins and Lost Izalith, Centipede Demon is the only one with good quality since it follows the same pattern as any other good boss in this game, observe his attacks and smack his shit when he's vulnerable. The added lava floor made it interesting. Ceaseless Discharge has bullshit radius on his melee swings and killing him consists of you either a) taking a shit in the small crevice on the mountain and poking his hand with a weapon whenever he reaches in, or b) run back to the fog gate and make him kill himself Demon Firesage is just a burning copy of Stray Demon with a gigantic Demon's Catalyst Bed of Chaos is just broken
