404!
got a mirror?
Should I take of the ROFAP during the 4 kings fight at SL1? I could really use another spell slot.

He's referring to the Lagarith codec, it lives here. I use it too.
Out of all the 4 bosses in Demon Ruins and Lost Izalith, Centipede Demon is the only one with good quality since it follows the same pattern as any other good boss in this game, observe his attacks and smack his shit when he's vulnerable. The added lava floor made it interesting.
Ceaseless Discharge has bullshit radius on his melee swings and killing him consists of you either
a) taking a shit in the small crevice on the mountain and poking his hand with a weapon whenever he reaches in, or
b) run back to the fog gate and make him kill himself
Demon Firesage is just a burning copy of Stray Demon with a gigantic Demon's Catalyst
Bed of Chaos is just broken
Yeah, and the levels consisted of copy pasting the same enemy in a giant flat area.

RoFaP is an incredible ring, and is useful in any situation
you're sacrificing a lot if you're using a seance ring, and honestly you should be using a fire+10 or chaos+5 for the 4kings.
What do SL1 run people do when they get to blighttown? Everything there resists the shit out of fire.
What do SL1 run people do when they get to blighttown? Everything there resists the shit out of fire.
I believe the answer is they skip most of Blighttown.
I believe the answer is they skip most of Blighttown.
Still have to fight Quelaag, who is 100 percent immune to fire. I had a LOT of "fun" there on my Pyromancy-only build. Mildred only got her down to ~25 percent before dying.

Use a +10 weapon?
Use a +10 weapon?
I'm planning a rapier vitgouge build, but I guess that should work.
Just finished tomb of giants. Those dog-like skeletons creep me the fuck out. If you don't aggro them, they just stare at you with that fucked up look. And the background noises there don't make it any better.
What do SL1 run people do when they get to blighttown? Everything there resists the shit out of fire.
On the NG, they use a normal +5 or +10,
in subsequent NG+'es, they use a Lightning Weapon.

Still kinda records at a bleh fps.
any other way to make it run better?
i like to call lost izalith KFC because of the bounding demons
i like to call lost izalith KFC because of the bounding demons
Is that what they're actually called? I've never heard them called anything except dragon butts/asses.
There is a trick that allows you to skip all but one enemy.
You do it by jumping over a certain part of the first spiral stairway.
Vageta311's video have the shortcut in them.

Doesn't that shortcut only bypass one kngiht though?
I never found O&S that hard to get to. They are like a minute away from the bonfire. Only enemies that directly impede your progress are 2 silver knights. Once you get into the main foyer you can pretyt much ignore the Titans if they give you too much trouble and head straight for the boss.
Silver knights aren't that hard to kill if you have a good blocking sheild and/or can parry. They are really easy to parry and pretty much die in 2 hits after you reposte/backstab them.

You realize there is a bonfire right at the spiral staircase inside the main building right? So you don't have to spawn all the way at the beginning? It pretty much puts you less than a minute away from the boss fog.
I did that horribly wrong. Every single time I died to O&S I just revived at the first bonfire and would walk my way all the way to the front door, poke down the sentinels with a +3 lightning longbow I had and then do the same to the other two great sentinels in the hall. Then duel the silverknight and summon solaire.
Good job me.
Did get a big pile of souls once I actually managed to kill O&S since I had probably 15 runs and each run netting me ~9000 souls + O&S soul reward.
Still can't figure out this Dxtory stuff, could use some help.

We just play the game, we're not exactly experts on recording software or how it interacts with this specific port.
Sorry, but we're not the best people to be asking.

Bounding Demons sound so much cooler than Dragon butts.
now if only they were a whole being, and not just a dragon butt.

Two or three people in this thread use dxtory to record.
I like to call them Wrecker Rectums
The first time I played through Lost Izalith was at 1 AM. All that lava gave me fucking eye strain.

I've only used it for ArmA II, and it worked without any noticeable frame loss. Just install Lagarith, then set up dxtory to use it for encoding.
What should I start upgrading: Uchigatana or Balder Side Sword?
I'm a Pyromancer who just rang the first bell.
Whatever you like best really
is it true that literally everything can work in pve as long as the moveset is decent
cus idk i've only used a few weapons followed by a few reccomended by others and they've all worked and when i compare them with some of the white noise weapons i have a hard time seeing people using them

anything works as long as you don't suck at it

Haven't tried Lagarith on other games, only DS.
Dark Souls is an abysmally terrible port so maybe it's a problem with a game and not Dxtory.

Are you using DSfix.
If so dxtory will fuck up.
Due to the way it hooks into the process, you can't hook it twice and have it work well.

Shiiiit so I guess there's no chance at recording well with dxtory then.
