I know I've brought this up before but the only advantage SSS has over longsword is about 2-5 higher damage even when upgraded to max level, everything else (excluding looks) is pretty much identical. Longsword does have the advantage of also not having to kill solaire to get it, who is a BRO

I like the longsword because its a very flexible weapon and still does decent damage. sure a katana might be better and more specilized or something but it doesn't have a thrust moveset, plus I'm pretty sure longsword is slightly faster too.

The uchi has a thrusting heavy attack, although it's slower than the Longsword, though I think the longsword is faster in general as well. It's speed is what makes it a great weapon for buffing since a buff like Sunlight Blade or Dorkmoon Blade applies the same damage regardless of weapon damage/speed.

It takes 65 end+Havel's ring+FAP ring to get a midroll in full Havel gear.

I managed to get a black knight's sword off the one in undead burg, but it doesn't feel as good for tight corridors. If the claymore's any faster I guess I could give it a shot to try and get a feel for greatswords. Would a balder side sword be any better?

BSS is a good weapon, but it's better for dex builds than strength builds.

If you're at 45 int, you might want to look into the Crystallization Catalyst or Logan's Catalyst.

Though it's generally a good idea to ditch the longsword for an uchigatana or claymore, depending on whether your build favors strength or dex.

Let me tell you why I love this game.
So, I was shamelessly farming in Darkroot using the staircase glitch when someone invades me. I prepare to get raped by a guy and the other things in the forest, but the guy keeps his distance and waits for me to finish. When I do, I approach him and we both bow. We had an awesome fight, but it was apparent that I was going to win. However, another guy invaded, giving the cool guy a chance to heal up. The new guy proceeded to rape me with the gravelord sword. The original guy sent me a message saying ":(", and I said "Still a great fight :)"

I also proceed to accidentally find the Dark Wood Grain Ring even after being kicked out of the covenant.

And then I got kicked out, hue.

So, I was invading in Anor Londo when I came across someone pretending to be the first Silver Knight near Solaire's bonfire. In fact, I almost ran past them up the stairs, but I did a double take and noticed they were the wrong size :v:

So they figured out the jig was up and we had an AMAZING fight. We kept landing hits on each other and dodging like mad, I finally died after getting them down to something like 5 percent HP. So of course, I sent them a message praising their sneaky tactics and fighting skills. I also noticed they were from Japan, which was odd since there wasn't any lag.

A few minutes later, I get a reply saying "Thank you and you splendid too!" I think they put my message through google translate :v: The whole thing was just heartwarming as fuck.

I also fought a guy several times who apologized for ganking me the first time I invaded, and fought me one on one 3 times after that. Today really increased my faith in humanity :v:
