I'm amazed by what just happend. So I'm chilling in Oolacile SL100. Everything is going fine, getting invaded/invading myself. There are gankers with BKGAs, there are black magic users, there are honorable players, dark souls as it always was. But then I got invaded(not a big surprise) and was attacked right away when this phantom popping out sound was still playing. I was like "What?" While closing youtube video and then I got killed before invader appeared. He was using gold tracer, some shield and lautrec set. And after he killed me he used "point down" gesture. Go home, hackers.

Question for you guys: At the very beginning of the game, was there always a weapon drop form one of the first Hollow enemies? Because I recall having to kill the Asylum Demon with a fucking sword hilt.
Question for you guys: At the very beginning of the game, was there always a weapon drop form one of the first Hollow enemies? You get your starting gear via bypassing it, then coming back and dropping down on it when you are properly armed.

Okay, quick question for you all. I was invading some people in the forest, and in one of my invasions, I came across someone with a katana. There were three forest hunters (including me) against him, and I wasn't really worried, but he clipped one of my fellow hunters with his sword, and the guy was instantly cursed and died. This also happened to the second forest hunter. I managed to dodge his attacks and get him down pretty low, but eventually he clipped me with a swing and I was immediately cursed and died (complete with statue!). Was this a hacker, or am I just missing something?

Yeah that was a hacker. The only sort of 'cursed' weapons are ones that can do damage to ghosts, not other players. He most likely went to cheat engine and edited the properties of his weapon to include cursing on it.
That's one of the reasons I love the tracers, the Dark Silver Tracer inflicts toxic--I'm pretty sure no other weapon poisons targets without being buffed.
Question for you guys: At the very beginning of the game, was there always a weapon drop form one of the first Hollow enemies? Because I recall having to kill the Asylum Demon with a fucking sword hilt.
wow
That's one of the reasons I love the tracers, the Dark Silver Tracer inflicts toxic--I'm pretty sure no other weapon poisons targets without being buffed.
Only the R2 attacks inflict toxic, and the attack sucks. The gravelord sword inflicts toxic, the large club inflicts poison... not sure if there are any others.
Mouse fix fixes the targeting and wonky mouse acceleration, so yes DaS is perfectly playable with KB+M.
What about the whole, cursor always showing up, thing?
What about the whole, cursor always showing up, thing?
It's a feature.
Dark Souls is definitely playable with Keyboard/Mouse if you use the fix that comes with DSFix, so if you don't have a controller you potentially could. It's just, why would you want to? I understand not wanting to buy a controller just for this game, but if you have one already it'll play much better if you use it.
Well, I have a gamepad, it's just a really weird one that makes the camera hard to maneuver, and has different buttons.
What about the whole, cursor always showing up, thing?
DSFix has an option to turn that off on startup and F7 toggles it.
It's a feature.
Why does it show up in game?
Though it has lead to me always moving my mouse to the far right side of the screen where it goes off the edge whenever I launch a game, whether it's Dark Souls or not. [editline]20th November 2012[/editline] Well my merge just got triple-penetrated.
master hacker genius le dgrayed face can mod weapons to curse players using CE, and other cool stuff too
my favorite is summoning white phantom dragons
Curse weapons do sound interesting, but only a true asshole would use them. Heck, the Burg already has enough assholes invade you with gear that can one shot/two shot you with ease. If Curse weapons existed. All you'd see is Curse Statues everywhere in the Burg.
Quite annoying how it is ten times harder to be summoned and help with a boss than it is to invade someone. I've yet to ever be summoned by someone in this game. As soon as I say this I'm summoned. Only for the summoner to get wind bladed off the edge by Iron Golem 20 seconds later. :v:
Weapons that curse and give egghead SL1 darkwraith

When you invade... well, they have no choice. :v:

I summoned someone in, went into the fight, and promptly was pushed off the edge by a golem attack. I felt bad.

I did manage to get summoned a couple minutes later and made IG fall off the edge for someone. Got to love lightning spear.
