This'll probably be redundant for anyone whos made it to the 210th page of the thread, though I've just finished a guide for new players who want to have a blind run but want to atleast know the basics: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHkcR93Kkc0 Please let me know if it's shit!
Actually, funny you should note that, one of the Phantoms I summoned yesterday I was hoping would help me out with the Taurus Demon, instead he decided to make a beeline for a Havel the Rock and get one-hitted, leaving my sorry ass to deal with him (Spoiler: I didn't beat him).
You should solo through the entire game. That's what I did. It's more rewarding that way
Getting better at dark souls - gave up on str/vit character because of fatroll, managed halfway through blighttown before losing all hope. only good thing was that I picked up a black knight gs (and could only use it 2hnded with a real slow moveset). alteratives were a raw zweihander and halberd (duh duh numbers bigger!). so now i'm focusing on dex, just killed gaping dragon (easiest boss so far) and using a +7 uchigatana until i can ascend it to something else and a thorn shield/black knight shield. the amount of fun that you have playing this game grows exponentially as you play it, that's something I haven't seen in many other games. gj from soft edit - i should prob. switch the katana for a side sword
Finally started my SL1 and I'm at Sens Fortress, been easy so far - started with queelag. What I want to know is if it is possible for me to get to vamos at this stage and if its time to get a fire weapon yet.

What did that poor Zweihander ever do to you?

Also, Drake Sword is a terrible, terrible thing.
Demon Soul's in a nutshell.
So I was planning on buy a guide book for Dark Souls to help me along since I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing (Even trying to follow/imitate tactics I've seen on videos has helped at all). But of course; the guide book is around $50. Jesus, not only is the game difficult enough for newcomers but there is also a substantial penalty for guidance. People really weren't kidding when they said the game was hard.
why would you ever BUY a strategy guide

Where's the PC Q&A section's kennels at?
Where's the PC Q&A section's kennels at?
In the basement so the console team doesn't have to see them.

Woo, just bought Demon's Souls. Time to prepare to die again. I'll have plenty of time too, fucking PSN download speeds.
Gwyn in the background on the second image :v:
First image, too. [editline]24th January 2013[/editline] The deer crest on the armor is really interesting. The armor looks like something you'd see in Skyrim.
Just 'gonna ask again since I'm still not sure after googling it. Can I reach the bottom of the catacombs without placing the lord vessel?
Just 'gonna ask again since I'm still not sure after googling it. You can do the Catacombs without it, you don't even need a divine weapon. It's really not that bad without one. You can go through most of ToTG without the Lordvessel, you just can't go to the area before Nito. You can go through all of the dark area.
Hey guys, I'm trying to make my next pvp character look like a samurai, anyone have armor suggestions for doing so?
Hey guys, I'm trying to make my next pvp character look like a samurai, anyone have armor suggestions for doing so?
Eastern & Steel set
Hey guys, I'm trying to make my next pvp character look like a samurai, anyone have armor suggestions for doing so?
Try to go for the eastern armor, then get the Iato or Uchigatana, also the Chaos Blade if you dig the style.
Alright thanks for the ideas, I'll collect those armor sets and try mixing and matching, see how they work out visually. As for the weapon, I'm most likely going to use a chaos Iato because I like the quick draw attack. I may post the build later for all of you guys to see.
is there even a point where it says "tomb of the giants" or are you just sorta left to figure that out for yourself once everything is pitch black
is there even a point where it says "tomb of the giants" or are you just sorta left to figure that out for yourself once everything is pitch black
There is, somewhere between the exit from Pinwheel's house and the first giant skeleton
is there even a point where it says "tomb of the giants" or are you just sorta left to figure that out for yourself once everything is pitch black
As soon as you step out of Pinwheel's area and into the cave it says it.
Finally beat Drake and Josh with a phantom and a sunbro. Now I'm getting my dick smacked in the archives, but its not biggy
There is, somewhere between the exit from Pinwheel's house and the first giant skeleton
o i just never noticed it i guess
I get invaded in anor londo by a chaos rapier hornet ring-er. I'm on my high-vit str character, so he can't one-shot me and I rip his anus apart. He sends me a message about how he's fighting fair and I should go die or something along those lines. I send him back the message;
>chaos rapier >hornet ring I'm sorry, what?
and he sends me this;
I like how you're berating me for using chaos rapiers and a hornet ring, when you're fucking hacking. That's real cute.
I respond with;
I can just turn that argument around and say you're berating me for "hacking" while you're using a chaos rapier and a hornet ring. Try harder.
He hasn't responded, I think I broke him. I actually wasn't hacking, in case some of you ask.

The Zweihander is just such a vicious weapon. That strong attack just wrecks everything, nobody can hold that attack :v:
