Alrighty, finally managed to beat Havel the [del]Cock[/del] Rock; thanks for the advice guys. I've been chugging along pretty well at the moment amongst all the grinding, beat the Bell Tower Gargoyles, got a comfortable build going, a decent stockpile of Titanite (They were dropping off Balder Knights and Hollow Soldiers/Warriors) and even killed an invader despite being poisoned the entire time. Anyways, it's probably best I didn't push my luck so I decided to stop for the day after all that good fortune.

Killing the four kings would be a massive pain with only a bow.

Got to Anor Londo on my SL1 and shits suprisingly easy. Should I try to run through and get to the blacksmith ASAP or is an elemental weapon not that important until Jack and Jill? PS, best thing about SL1 is the freedom - free to skip sections like blighttown as souls aren't that important anymore.

you're not supposed to skip anything the whole point of SL1 games are to challenge yourself to everything the game has

I got invaded for the first time, in Anor Londo, in the big hall before Mr. and Mrs. Smith, right as I summoned Solaire and engaged two giant sentinels at the same time. Fucker shows up with the silent footsteps ring and just goes for the kill, but I survive, run, heal, and kill the giants just as Solaire dies. It's just the invader and me. He bows and tricks me into doing the same, but takes the opportunity to hug me and steal my humanity. Following that we just dance around for a while until I parry him twice out of luck and win with just a sliver of health left and no estus. I open the large gate and walk outside, still feeling my accomplishment when one of those albino gargoyle demon things punts me off a ledge. Dark Souls.

Wow. Bed of Chaos only took me 3 tries. I don't get why people think hes hard, I just ran in naked and rolled onto the root in the middle.
