Be prepared to die a lot. Also take things rather slowly, you can't really rush through stuff til you memorize the levels.
Either I was too used to how the game played from playing so much dark souls, but demon's souls is now ridiculously easy for me. In 2 hours yesterday I took out 9 bosses, including 4 of the archdemon's, without dying once. I'm now in 1-4/1-5 or something (just killed penetrator) and I'm going to continue tonight after work :v: 7 of those fights were for the first time
A lot of people say Demon's Souls is easier than Dark Souls anyway.

My birthday is in a couple of weeks and Dark Souls is number one on my wishlist. I hope I'm making a wise decision here. Browser is blocking me from reading the OP for some reason, so can anyone give me some helpful tips to start with?
When you reach firelink don't take the graveyard path for gods sake
Jump down the well. It leads to glorious riches.
Are you able to get red titanite chunks from burrowing centipedes? I'm seeing some sources that are conflicting with eachother. I need to upgrade this fire sword so it isn't so damn useless.
I'm excited to finish demon souls tonight so I can return to dark souls :) might play a faith character who is literally all about miracles
I'm excited to finish demon souls tonight so I can return to dark souls :) might play a faith character who is literally all about miracles
Doing a Faith-based character right now with DS. Haven't had this much trouble with any other character before. I think one of the issues is the gap in access to the mid to higher-tier miracles in the game. You get the set of beginning ones with Petrus. The Heals work best out of combat and the regular Force starts to become useless once you go up against larger and more heavily armored enemies. You're stuck with those from the beginning of the game until you get the Lordvessel. Only then can you get the next set, BUT, you have to dig all the way down into ToG to rescue the woman who gives them to you. That time is also when you can finally join the Princess Guard for the extra-healing miracles. You'll need to make sure to keep up with Siegmeyer for the Emit Force miracle. You can do Warrior of Sunlight sort of earlier if you can help defeat a couple of bosses to meet the Faith requirement. However, Lightning spears are tricky to use, even in PvE. God forbid you toss the bolt as soon as an enemy gets his shield up or is doing a special animation that makes the bolt go right through him (i.e. Fucking Sentinels and Batwing Demons). It does jack shit then, and it opens you up for a proper bitch slap. You've also got a whole set of miracles you don't get access too until, once again, you get to AL and the Lordvessel. The Darkmoon Blade or Sunlight Blade for one. The Gravelord Sword Dances you need to get into ToG (requires Gravelord Servant too, that depends on the player though). Vow of Silence you need Painted World. Which is in AL...What a surprise Basically, A miracle character is going to have a absolute bitch of a time until you acquire the Lordvessel. I would recommend going into Pyromancy as a back up. It will benefit you infinitely even after you start getting the real-deal miracles. I'm all the way at S&O and somehow struggling with my Faith based character. Pyromancy is just barely saving my ass against Ornstein (his weakness being fire). The Lightning Spears are wonderful against Smough. They make him melt like icecream. Almost forgot. Two decent miracles you could get early on are Tranquil Walk and Karmic Justice. Tranquil requires a dive into the Catacombs and KJ you can grab from Oswald for 40k if you want to spend that much. These would be beneficial in a boss fight or once you hit AL and Silver Knights/Sentinels are on your ass (Which regretfully I grabbed neither of these before heading into Anal Rodeo.) Oh and Great Magic Barrier in Ash Lake. That'd be good for Duke's Archives.
EY YO BUDDY WOTCHU SAY ABOUT ME
Wouldn't it be the best fucking thing if Leeroy had the "Jubilant Catarina" face. oh and also, Siegmeyer probably has that face, and Sieglind probably has the same skin tone.

You can actually see under Sieglinde's helmet when she's in firelink, blonde and attractive, not bad for fatty armour.

What's the ideal level to help people with O&S?
What's the ideal level to help people with O&S?
50-60.
what weapons are best for SL1 playthroughs? and it doesn't really matter what armor I wear, as long as I maintain the fast roll, correct?
Pretty much, it can be worth experimenting with midrolls though. I think the best weapon choices for an SL1 character are the regular Hand Axe, and the Reinforced Club.
Is that everlasting dragon summon actually able to fight? Man, imagine invading someone with an everlasting dragon sunbro at his side

can someone a explanation of why there 7 kings? in new londo?
can someone a explanation of why there 7 kings? in new londo?
They appear on a timer instead of on damage dealt.
i understand the timer but why dose it reset making 7 kings instead of 4? edit: its as if the timer is on the kings in stead of in the room along with the counter for the kings witch is confusing me
