Finished 1-1 and 1-2 of DeS. Initial impression is that this is easy as shit. The low-level mobs do tiny amounts of damage compared to DaS where one torch hollow could wreck your shit with a good combo. Getting fastroll at 50% equipment burden isn't really helping. Still fun though, and I suspect the difficulty will spike soon enough.

When we got to the Sentinels in the hallway someone invaded us and used the Sentinels against us. It was amazingly epic. It ended up with my boyfriend getting backstabbed and killed. I ran outside and bowed towards the invader. He bowed back. We fought do the death, alas, I lost. On the third try we managed to kill them easily. And I got my sweet-ass gear. Balder shield, Dragoncrest/Crest shield, Andre's kite shields. There are so many easy-to-get alternatives that don't weigh five and a half pounds. Hell, even a SKSh weighs less.
