Is the Paladin armour set worth getting? I'm using Silver Knight at the moment but I was told Paladin has some pretty nifty bonuses.

there aren't really "bonuses". it looks cool but it's heavy and not great with defense. Black Knight's better than silver knight, iirc

There's not too much difference between Silver and Black Knight though, Black Knight Armor is slightly more heavier than Silver Knight and offers more defense (although not much, we're talking like the difference between Regular and Elite Knight armor here.)

Paladin does have some nice curse resistance, and it looks sweet too.

When I say bonuses, I meant resistances. I heard it has curse and poison resistance but I've yet to double check.

I can't beat New Londo on my SL1 I always get killed in that big room of ghosts below Ingward. One Time I had 2 ghosts left but my transient curse wore off as I was throwing a fireball and then I died.

when you run into that room, hug the left wall and book it to the fireplace. if you do it right you don't get hit at all.

I don't think I've EVER killed a ghost in the entirety of my Dark Souls career. Ever. Always run past them.

fighting people at SL710 or whatever has 99 for all stats is actually not a walk in the park
it's just most people are lolbad

I invaded the same level 150+ guy with my level 28 Golem three times in a row. He was friendly about it though, asked me my level and told me his. Threw down "I'm sorry" after the third time.

What would be a good NPC to invade as? There's the obvious Dorkwraiths, Silver/Black Knights, and Tarkus, but I'm looking for something unique.

Invade people as a Catarinian. I've NEVER seen people use the armor.
