Hm. I have no clue where to go after Anor Londo. Just went and beat Sif (Wow he was easy) so I guess I could head into the Abyss, or head back over to Duke's Archives. No idea what's in the catacombs but I got a divine sword to deal with those annoying ass skeletons now.

I bought the game yesterday and so far, as difficult as it is, I'm loving it. Especially since I'm using the zweihander.
you fucked up by fighting Sif before the DLC other than that its up to you where you decide to go next
How so? I just finished the DLC after Sif and now i'm progressing through darkroot forest/garden.
How so? I just finished the DLC after Sif and now i'm progressing through darkroot forest/garden.
you get more bang for your buck by doing the DLC first
Anyone in anor londo willing to help an SL1 through it? I'd be fine, except I didn't expect the archers to be shooting FUCKING TREE TRUNKS at me. They keep stabbing me off the edge. it's awful.
you're doing an SL1 on your first playthrough? what?
I'm pretty suicidal like that. Or idiotic. Probably both.
You're not gonna have fun you should do a normal run first and then take on SL1. when it comes to a satisfying DkS session, SL1 and NG are pretty much mutually exclusive [editline]3rd February 2013[/editline] Plus you're gonna end up smashing whatever peripheral you're using when you get up Super Londo Bros
I'm pretty suicidal like that. Or idiotic. Probably both.
yeah uh as soon as you get to a bonfire i'd cash in all your souls to level up at least 40 times
Well, progress. I managed to somehow avoid the new londo tree-trunk shooters and get to the bonfire inside. Up next looks like smores and oreo. [editline]a[/editline] And they're dead. Wooooo.
How so? I just finished the DLC after Sif and now i'm progressing through darkroot forest/garden.
You get a different cutscene in Sif's fight.
Well, progress. I managed to somehow avoid the new londo tree-trunk shooters and get to the bonfire inside. I know it's not a big change but it's a good one
The problem with doing the DLC before Sif is that it means you don't get to speak to Kaathe at all, though. Right?
yeah but if you're trying to become a darkwraith you're probably not on your first playthrough anyway
Okay, let's imagine for a second that I don't know where that is... Where can I find it?
It's the second archstone, to the right of the Small King one in the Nexus
Okay, let's imagine for a second that I don't know where that is... Where can I find it?
Scoot on back to the Nexus and take a look at the other archstones.
Huh, SL1s can use the pickaxe if you two-hand it... I suddenly want to do an SL1 run using the pickaxe and leo ring :v:
Huh, SL1s can use the pickaxe if you two-hand it... I suddenly want to do an SL1 run using the pickaxe and leo ring :v:
But the pickaxe isn't a thrusting weapon... [editline]4th February 2013[/editline] Never mind it is, which is fucking weird for a hammer v:v:v [editline]4th February 2013[/editline] Wow, 222 damage and A STR scaling at +15, maybe it's time for a sack+pickaxe dickwraith
anor londo, not new londo [editline]3rd February 2013[/editline] for fuck's sake, why can't you people keep stuff a mystery for first timers? I was just chillin in the forest and bumped into him. I guess I'll do the DLC first next-time.
I've just beat Fatboy Slim, wasn't as hard as everybody says.
Claymore does so much fucking damage that I'm starting to see no point in using any other weapon.
Try a proper greatsword then.
Claymore does so much fucking damage that I'm starting to see no point in using any other weapon.
black knight sword is better imo
black knight sword is better imo
Does it scale with faith? And where can I find it?
no it scales with strength, and black knights drop it sometimes
Dex weapons are better for faith builds anyway, since dex will speed up your cast time.
This has been my absolute favorite run so far. No points into Str, Dex, Fai, Int, or Res. Only 3 points into att, and leveled vit and end to about 60. Soul level 100. Knight's helmet, Chainmail torso, knight gloves, solaire leggings, leo ring, red tearstone ring, great combustion and power within. Weapons? 2 dark hands (one for each hand), pyro glove, and heavy crossbow with heavy bolts. It feels so good to punish slow/medium speed weapons from both range and melee. Been doing surprisingly good in PvP as well, winning about 60% of my invasions. Best thing about the build is getting a counter-headshot. Damage skyrockets from the leo ring, especially with power within and red tearstone.
Remember, never tell anyone that you leveled up Dex
Alternatively, be sure to spam the Gold Tracer R1 while downloading large files to make it impossible to parry.
