Claymore has a better moveset, and has better scaling for a strength/dexterity mix.

Balancing str and dex is a waste. You do less damage than you would if stayed with one, and you don't get the bonus of miracles or sorceries. All it does is keep weapon selection open, which isn't much good anyway.

i have 31 decks of cards, and are using the baller swag sword (got 2, one lighting and one +10) should i keep levelling dex or start levelling end (22) and vit (24)?

Forget leveling, get the BSS to +15 ASAP.

Welp, managed to blaze through the Catacombs pretty fast. It turns out all I needed was to grab Astora's Straight Sword, upgrade it a bit, and I was good to go. Turns out all that grinding to get a Divine weapon was pointless, but live and learn. And now that I have the Rite of Kindling I stand at the gates of Sen's Fortress; oh boy.

You really don't need a divine weapon for the Catacombs once you know the shortcut/where the necromancers you need to kill are.

If you're good at rollan never level vitality, I haven't done so once. Demon's Souls was a bit different as it increased other stats than just health.

I'm trying to find a weapon with high to mid-end damage that strikes quickly for pvp. I primarily use a black knight's sword for pve since it hits like a ton of bricks, but it's slow and is super easy to parry.

A quality build (27 str/40 dex) on a weapon like the claymore or halberd (C in str and dex) will do much more damage than just having 40 in one, especially if you two hand it.
