Finally got over the boredom and completed Lost Izalith SL1, only nito and seathe to go. Don't think I've ever punched myself this much.
Anyone on xbox wanna help me with Manus? SL 85
aw shit i'm like 87 but on PC. I love the fight with Manus, it's one of my favorites
I tried helping someone on Manus
Cutscene, I start on a giant ledge, before I can do anything my summoner gets one-shot and I get sent back
I assume if I jump down I'm fine? Or something? I can't see any other way for summons to help on that fight...
my life became 1000x easier once i found out you can parry those snake assholes in sens fortress
but if you miss that parry god help you

You jump down and take no damage.
Also, on to NG+. Anyone wanna help me with the Kiln?
holy shit you can backstab them now sens=easymode
[sp]i wish[/sp]
So I just defeated Seath. I don't mean to brag but why are the more "end-game" bosses really easy?

The summons can also do plunging attacks on Manus.
oh and speaking of manus, does anybody else find it weird as hell that when you beat him, [sp]you kinda just leave dusk behind crying on the ground?[/sp]
[sp]you use the bonfire and LV-outty, but she's left at the bottom of a chasm...the lowest point of the cavern and the spot where manus was woken...surrounded by the abyss and abyssal creatures
and then elizabeth is like nice work, a+, thanks a bunch, have some shrooms, peace.[/sp]
:/

Nito is the only one who's really supposed to be easy on his own, having his power drained by necromancers n' all
as for the others it's pretty subjective
nito is still a pain if you can't get rid of the skeletons
alternatively you could stay on the close end of the arena and not aggro the giant ones at all

Well yeah of course other people are going to find certain bosses harder than the other guy. But seriously, it took me two attempts to defeat him when bed of chaos took me about 10 attempts.
Why in the world is that the case?
well the bed of chaos is horrendous unless you have a really high-stability shield so nobody blames you there

because From just flat out fucked up with the BoC

Because rather than learning how to play, you're just using strategy.
So if you happen to get lucky/use a proper strategy/properly equip yourself, it shouldn't be too hard.
Capra Demon is an asshole because you aren't prepared for it, and you don't have enough health/poise to really do anything apart from run like mad.
I've found by now, I have enough health and poise that even minor fuck-ups on bosses no longer completely ruin me, unlike early game (Where getting hit by the Asylum Demon or Capra Demon usually meant DEATH)
It seems getting to the bosses is harder than fighting them now. Also, Pinwheel is a bitch. I saw the writing "Try: beating to a pulp" and realized that it was very literal.
What's the hardest part about bed of chaos? I don't quite understand what people are having trouble with.

even if you are good at avoiding death during the fight, the problem is that it isn't even a fight
it's more like a dumb mini-game thing, and just makes the whole Lost Izalith segment feel like a waste of energy

You know where you have to jump into the center?
THAT PART.
(Well, for me anyway)
holy shit i just had the funniest shit happen to me in sens fortress
i hit the mimic chest in the elevator room and tried to lead him into the bolder to see what he drops and he fell down the ladder so i jumped down and tried to do a plunging attack but i got stuck in the falling animation and kept doing the landing 3 or so damage on him and i was just stuck doing tons of damage to him by falling and i tried to rb attack and then i just got instakilled (??)

I wouldn't be surprised if fall damage is calculated by time in air, so it would think you had fallen quite a ways.
Fall damage is calculated by how long you're in the air and does a percentage of your max health based on how far you fell. That's why after a certain distance all falls are lethal.

I would guess that after a certain amount of airtime it would kill you. Some safety trigger I guess. Kind of like in GTA IV, if you tumbled for too long you would just die, despite how much health you had.
Speaking of triggers, fuck you blighttown for trigger killing when falling onto a 45 degree slope to safety
man all I wanna do is invade. where do you guys have the best luck with orbs?

oh right, level 89
depends on your level
Went and decided to re-visit the Asylum today. Everything went swimmingly up until I decided to take on the Stray Demon before leaving.
In addition to being anally raped, I also lost 16,000 souls and 5 humanity.
Best dust myself off and start again...
EDIT:
Actually screw that; I think I way a while before taking him on again.

The first time I fought it, when I wasnt expecting it and fell and almost died and was scared shitless and lost my stuff and came back to get it, I found it pretty easy. I tried triggering the ground to fall without falling but failed at that, fell down, managed to heal up and grab my stuff and basically won the whole fight taking next to no damage by pretty much just staying behind it, which also proved to be relatively easy. Just gotta aggro it sometimes and step in front of it to get it to attack, or back off when it does the jumping thing and sprint back behind it.

It wasn't so much doging his attacks, it was the magic AoE that was killing me. Even taking the slightes hit still managed to do large amount of damage and knock me down.
Also picking up the large amount of souls/humanity that I lost are out of the question since I died twice to him.
I think I just won dick of the year award.
I was bored and waiting for Dead Space 3 to finish installing, so I played some Dark Souls and found some guy down in the pit where Siegmeyer was. I couldn't pass up the opportunity - I pretty much cockblocked the path back out of the pit with my dragonslayer arrows, effectively forcing him to be stuck down there for all eternity.

Eventually, he gave up and killed himself. :v:
