Heading out to buy DeS, I'll probably play it later tonight. Without spoilers, any tips? I imagine I'll be fine, I've got like 1000+ hours in DkS by now...I'm always concerned about leveling up v leveling up weapons, especially if I don't know how the upgrade system works. Invaded someone in the Township, he had the first group of enemies cleared and the elevator active. Couldn't find him so I went down the elevator... none of the enemies down there were dead, so I went back up the elevator. I suck so much ass at this game..... I've died like 20 times minimum at Sens fortress... Also im still using the battle axe from the start of the game (I went Bandit) but I've made it "Raw" am i doing something wrong?

You should find a new weapon and make it regular +10. Sens is a really easy place if you just walk through it. Most mistakes are made because people run around the place without really looking for traps.

I went through the fortress only killing what I absolutely had to because my weapons did jack shit to the lizard guys and most of them aren't in a prime position to backstab. Kill as many of them as you can with the traps in the fortress and you'll only have to fight a couple head-on. If there is a lizard on a narrow bridge, run around him. Those two at the start? Run past them, the first axe bridge should weed them out. Once you get to the "control room" explore a little. There is a weapon somewhere in there that will cut up those lizard men faster than the Slap Chop.

That would be a good replacement, if temporary.

Ha ha, I invaded someone in the township, he killed the first couple groups of guys so I thought he went down the elevator, but everyone there was alive. When I got back I noticed him standing right next to the bonfire, he was wearing the fog ring. I did "look skyward" and he tried to backstab me. I still won though.
