If I killed Andre am I shit out of luck for reinforcing my weapons past +5?
yup
yep.
technically you're okay if you want to progress with only fire and chaos weapons, otherwise you're boned. i think even rick's upgrades require +10, and no one uses those upgrades anyway.

why'd you even kill him anyway
hulk santa just wanted to help, you monster
you deserve shitty weapons
My new way to destroy and bemuse the people I invade.

Kicking only of course.
What's a good place for coop at SL93?

Township, probably. Although at that level no matter where you go you'll be an accomplice to asshole ganking.
Honestly I don't think I've played a character above level 60 in months. Duke's is just too much fun.

Shit. I need sunlight medals. Oh well I'l just wait until NG+ to get some more.
My, I absolutely love using greatbows. It's like shooting trucks at my enemies.
I think this looks pretty nice...

Oh well guess I'll just wait until NG+ to upgrade my Demon Greataxe because fuck starting a new game.
I think what will be the most exciting thing about DS2 is diving into the game to learn all you can on your first playthrough, exploring every nook and cranny, trying out every weapon you can, and experiencing the game to it's fullest.
And then doing it again on NG+.
jesus christ
i have watched monty python and the holy grail so many times and yet i've never noticed

Solaire? is that you?
Well, I just lost all faith.
I was chilling in the Township waiting for a Darkmoon invasion, and a guy in full havels and a big hat invades me, spams me with pursuers while I was bowing, and then taunted when I died.
High level PvP is where you encounter the biggest dicks in this game.

is gfwl down
Man, this pisses me off. I don't even know why I go on Reddit.
The thread was about games that are in the same universe.
First guy: I've read theories that Dark Souls is set in the World of Giants, A world from Demon Souls that was inaccessible because the gateway to it was broken or something (haven't played Demon Souls myself). Obviously it can't be outright stated because of licensing reasons, but then again like 90% of the story in that game is fan theories anyway.
Some idiot: Don't you just love how the game has no story whatsoever? It's truly a roleplaying game. You are just thrown into this crazy universe and mythology and you figure out who you are and why are doing what you are doing.
Playing dark souls reminded me of the pen and paper roleplaying sessions I used to have.
I responded with this: It actually has a huge story, but even more is left to speculation. It makes it so much richer and interesting
this was already posted

and then get those amazing moments when you think you've discovered everything of importance and someone tells you there's some amazing hidden area like ash lake
the hard part is going to be the balance between trying to discuss it amongst friends online
and not completely ruining the experience for yourself.
I so want to do a DS LAN Party with somebody, it's one of those really chill games you don't directly involve with each other but have some great times with.

That's the thing. Dark Souls has so much to enjoy if it's sudden.
I've been loving Onion Bro, even though he [sp]was upset I killed all the Lost Izalith things for him.[/sp]
SL1 character got to Gwyn, is it a good idea to remove the FaP ring and use hornet and red tearstone and try to parry him?
Using the FaP ring isn't even worth it at SL1, really. You'd be better off with red tearstone + cloranthy ring or something.
What's a good sword to bring me through NG+ and beyond?

What are your stats?
I don't know them off the top of my head, but I do know I have 20 dex and 36 str.
Right now I'm using the BKS +5
You could use the claymore (C scaling in str and dex) or the man serpent greatsword (A scaling in str).
I'd rather have a sword that I can swing as fast or faster than the Black Knight Greatsword.
Both of those have the same moveset and R2 attacks that you can actually use because they aren't insanely slow.
[editline]11th February 2013[/editline]
They might swing faster than the BKS, not sure. All I know is that they don't swing any slower.
Even the serpent greatsword? Huh, I'll have to farm for it and try it out.
great lord greatsword scales with dex and str
it's fast, too
