I love it when you feed an invader 2k damage worth of backstabs only for him to get one and kill you with it.
Could have been someone using CE though. You can change yourself to be hollow/human/white phantom/gold phantom/red phantom/ghosty phantom. Not sure if you could hit/be hit as a ghost though...
hey kinda 8 hours late but when you go ghost mode in CE you can not attack or be attacked, only backstab for no damage
Can you still be invaded in Oolacile when you kill Manus or Kalameet? Technically they're in a different area.
Can you still be invaded in Oolacile when you kill Manus or Kalameet? Technically they're in a different area.
Pretty sure killing Manus means you can't be invaded in Oolacile. Don't think Kalameet has an area designated for invasions, he's just a side-boss.
Goodbye invaders in NG+++ then. I won't miss you faglords.
Goodbye invaders in NG+++ then. I won't miss you faglords.
Why would you even go for NG++? For more spells/weapons, same mobs with higher hp/damage? It's really not fun going through the same shit once you know everything.
Enjoy the continuity of the same characters progression
Sitting in the forest for 30 minutes trying to invade, while people who have not forwarded their shit try and invade me, fail, and keep interrupting my invade attempts. Oh the woes of invading.
Why would you even go for NG++?
Because I enjoy the challenge? also, started another SL1 character. this time: estus only, no summons, end all playthrough. first order of business :~) [editline]24th November 2012[/editline]
Sitting in the forest for 30 minutes trying to invade, while people who have not forwarded their shit try and invade me, fail, and keep interrupting my invade attempts. I have to kill myself to get out of the forest. I might just be running in to people who haven't forwarded their ports, so they're constantly invading and failing. So there's times when I spend 20 minutes without a single invader, and I can't invade anyone else due to constant fog door.
Yeah, I get invaded by the same 10 people but it's all good because they all seem to get wrecked.
I got invaded at SL20 or something by some dude wearing full Havel's with a mask with a zweihander. I had no chance at all. At the Bell Gargoyle's boss door.
So I joined the Forest Hunters and started invading, got summoned and instantly died to 2 people. Got summoned again to discover it was another 2 v 1 and I really wasn't in the mood to be screwed over again so I just attacked the other phantom while he was being overconfident and doing the "bring it" gesture, we killed each other at the same time and I respawned to this :v::
Gankers deserve no quarter.

I always attack people during gestures. The Dragon King Cheese Grater does not bow, but he does shrug and look skyward (you guys KNOW that's a facepalm it just has to be)
I have a 120 and in Oolacile for PvP. I can invade and get invaded. However, Failed Invasions is more prominent. How useful would it be to open my ports? Would killing Manus help?

I just can't seem to kick Seath's ass and I'm really sick of the Crystal Caves, if anyone could put a sign near the boss fog I'd be grateful, SL 60.
I added you on steam Vacuum
At a lan party playing dark souls by myself SUCH IS THE DARKWRAITH LIFE
i bet if you could even LAN DS you'd get summoning and invasion failed 70% of the time
invaded a guy using queelag's furysword then switched to the drake sword dude you're at least level 120 what are you doing with your life
I think I'll mess with port forwarding later when I don't feel so lazy. Right now I was invaded by the same guy twice. My BK Halberd two shot him. The second time he was prepared for my aggressive fighting style but this time I had Havel's Greatshield on me so he couldn't get through that. Mid-fight I pulled Golem Axe out of nowhere and Wind bladed his ass. Then proceed to cleave him apart with my beloved Halberd. People seem to think that since I have the Greatshield I'm going to hide behind the thing 24/7. So they open themselves up completely and I obliterate them. Tsk tsk  He invaded me a third time after I offed a guy with Gold tracer. This time using a lightning Zweilhandler. Needless to say I went batshat insane on him switching between Halberd and Axe. He got off one backstab though. I'd have to say this is a solid build. Basic, but proud of its creation none the less.
Not once was I ever cursed in my first playthrough. I've been cursed three times going through the depths with my new character. Legitimately the most annoying status effect to ever be made, ever.

Question, if I abandon a covenant, do i keep the rank i have in it when i rejoin?
Gankers deserve no quarter.
what are you gay? [editline]24th November 2012[/editline]
Question, if I abandon a covenant, do i keep the rank i have in it when i rejoin?
start from scratch.
I've been trying to gets summoned to help with the bell gargoyle's for the past 3 hours. Tried at SL12, SL15 and Sl17, still no luck. Getting here was terrible, and last-game I killed Solaire so I could turn my SL1 NG+ run in to a Solaire co-op run. ALl I want is to coop :(
start from scratch.
Your rank is actually halved if you abandon and rejoin a covenant.
