aw, shit.
well played, sir.
Also, recently i started a faith character
holy mother of god it's fun as hell.
Not a day goes by that I do not praise FS for "fixing" the dark wood grain ring. There were so many things wrong with heavy armor wearing people ninja flipping. I see a lot more variation in player builds now, too.
And the DWGR still has use. It's faster than the fast-roll and I swear it has more invincibility frames. No good for PvP because it needs quick reaction times, but still great for PvE.

It's the same speed as the regular fast roll.
You roll further however.
That's about it now.
Yeah, you roll further, and there's a few more invincibility frames in there, I'm pretty sure. It's great for maneuvering in PvP, especially when you're up against two or more people.
But all in all it's better to be using the fap ring and havel's.
For PvP maybe, for PvE the extra rolling distance is invaluable due to most enemies not understanding moving off to the side well.
When I've already got a build that works with Havels, I might as well use something like the Cloranthy, Steel protection or Hornet rather than try for a bit extra HP.

I use the Fapping ring for that extra bit of load actually because my Elite Knight / Claymore / Uchigatana build needs it.
The Wolf+FaP combo is probably my favorite, I don't really wear heavy armors and instead rely on meeting a poise threshold and trying not to take more than one hit at a time.
So, why didn't Oscar just drink Estus instead of giving it to you?
So, why didn't Oscar just drink Estus instead of giving it to you?
Because he's going hollow? Don't think Estus would fix that...
He was going hollow because his organs were smashed in from the asylum demon. I'm sure he could have just took a sip and prevented the hollowing.
It was just a way to introduce Estus Flasks and get you started with a clear goal.
That's not what hollowing is. In the meta sense, hollowing is when you give up and stop playing the game leaving your character with nothing but a mad bloodlust to control them. In-game, hollowing is when they give up, lose their what humanity they have collected and turn into a mindless hollow.
Think of any theoretical about immortality, if you live so long that you want to die it becomes a curse. Undead by their very nature cannot die, so what happens when they give up on undeath and want out? They go hollow, they leave their minds and allow the primitive and violent instincts to take over. When they die, they lose their human form and care not to regain it. If they are killed, they will come back, but will likely have wandered off or be lost in another time, far away from the chosen undead.
When you kill a character, you lose the connection in time you had to them and they are likely washed away to some other era or some other land. Whether they remain human (as some such as Shiva seem likely to have) or go hollow is irrelevant, they are far away in space and time now and you will likely never see them again.

That's for Cheat Engine though. Those codes don't work on the 360 save editor.
When does the Steam sale end? Tomorrow or two days later? I am not in the US timezone. I am waiting for Dark Souls to be further discounted, but if on the last day nothing happens I am grabbing it for 1/3 off.
That looks like it would get boring rather quickly.

The 26th should be the last deal day. Make sure you look out for the flash sales if it ever goes on there.

Oh yeah, I forgot. Whelp.
Put togther a vid. Got a taste for PvP from it, is Forrest hunter the best way to get regular invades/summons?

On another note, anybody know if it's possible to remove the letterboxing?

Dark Anor Londo has a pretty constant stream of invaders. Bonus points if you hide until a darkwraith and dorkmoon end up in your world at the same time. They get bored and fight each other. Whoever wins, you get free souls.

alternately replace dark bead with black flame

mmyes it's hella fun
getting invaded by dorkmoons all day too
New dorkmoon stupidity record:
Stopping to dick around in the menu mid-invasion. Backstabbed the dumbass.
Oh yeah, I forgot. Whelp.
All the DLC stuff shows up as "Unknown".
I could just duplicate all the Unknown things one at a time and figure out which does which and then go from there...
I might do that later.
