I almost did that myself once, but I was lucky and I hit the very edge of the ground beneath it, taking about 80% fall damage but I lived.
What are fun weapons to base builds around? My current PVP build with the gravelord sword was tons of fun, as was my tracer build (which I still have yet to beat Gwyn on and get to NG+, fucking Lord of Cinder, more like Lord of Bullshit).
Some current candidates are:
Uchigatana/Iaito for a ninja/samurai build
Lifehunt scythe for reaper build
Butcher knife for a butcher build (too late for the Piggu event though :<)
Or maybe just pump the shit out of Attunement and do a Pryomancy build. Chaos pyromancies errywhere.

You could roll a ham, and faith build.
end, str, health, faith, and roll up with a demon great axe.
Probably needs more dex for faster casting, I'll sacrifice some VIT and END for it.

Can't do DGA at SL50 unless you pump STR and almost nothing else :v:

DGA does 600+ damage at 50STR, though...could get decent VIT and good END, grab some poise-rich armor, slap on Havel's + RoFaP and go to town.
Hell, that might be a lategame weapon for my current STR build (the one with the Gravelord sword) since I already have the VIT and END for it, just need to pump about 25 levels into STR :v:

Nah, can't do anything at SL50 with 46STR without having pathetic VIT.
When you PvP all day long in the Forest and end up with 10+million souls it's real easy and fast to SL70whatever

I hope the next Soul's game introduces some more variation. A bunch more armors, weapons etc, as right now there isn't all that much variation. Any one build can do sort of fine against any other build.
I'd like to be invaded by a guy and be surprised by his build, rather than "Oh, Zweihander." or "Oh, Katana/straight sword."
But that'd take a shit load of effort :(

Well the PvP event was interesting. Only got two piggu knight invasions from the same guy, one invasion from someone who dropped slabs, and several dragonbro duels.
I've never fought a dragonbro before. Won three duels, then I figured the same guy who I'd summoned twice before deserved a win so I presented my asscheeks and let him have a win.
