Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition(360,PS3,PC)v3 - Dark Magic is perfectly balanced - Games

In case you were interested in some of the paintings in Anor Londo, I pulled the textures and found them. The one of a child is a painting of Hiob de Wildt by the dutch painter Santvoort Dirck van, the older guy with a fur hat is Portrait of Nicolaes Ruts by Rembrandt, couldn't find the one of the woman in the same room but it comes up in various collections so obviously not made by From. Just figured I'd check in case they're supposed to be significant rather than stock images to make Anor Londo pretty.

Plus the bastard sword does more damage overall, I don't know what you're talking about there. I haven't noticed any huge reach differences, either. Also, I bet you can stunlock with the same ability with the bastard sword. Reach is a serious thing in pvp. Not only can you hit farther but you dead angle better.

Take a look at the pierce defence of any given armour. With the exception of the bigger metal armours in which Bash is the lowest resistance, Pierce is generally a better option. If you're going to be using the strong attack plenty in PvP or even most PvE, it might be a better option.

Pretty odd stuff going on. I'm doing some low level forest hunter stuff (Always a bad idea) I get this one guy called Morkington. He's the only guy I can invade, he one shots me (no big surprise Since the level gap must be pretty obcene) But he has a permanent gravelord sign wherever he is, without me getting sideslammed by red NPC's. however you still sometimes see Gravelord signs and the message "Disasters are gone after defeat of Gravelord Servant even not in NG+, happened to my regular NG char that I took to Oolacile. Which by the way, you lose your saves forever if you change gamertag. RIP my 45 hours on one guy and 50mil souls.

Shit... did the Steam update "fix" controllers still working in-game while you're in the Steam overlay? I used to just press X and A while in the overlay to try to invade, but that isn't working anymore...

I have a build dedicated to not end game dark magic use. I see it all the time, people complaining about DM and others defending it, but I've fought people over and over who are wonderful PvPers, far better than I, yet the only reason I've won is because I've thrown out pursuers or dark bead over and over. They counter everything I do, and as soon as dark magic comes in to play, even if they're prepared, I've already won. [sp]It's even better if they don't have poise.[/sp]

You can get the symbol of aviation/avocado by punching mimics and throwing LLoyd's talismans at them. Reepat until you get the helmet.

I'm sure that's why they did it, if you're in Big Picture mode and you open the overlay you wouldn't want your character running around while you're trying to type or whatever. I also tried Big Picture mode earlier, that probably doesn't help.

I got a SOA from a Mimic in Anal Rodeo without ever going to Duke's.
