Curses are still annoying.
It is the main reason why I skip the Depths.
You don't even have to GO TO THE DEPTHS for fucks sake. Skip that ungodly piece of shit.
you also can't kindle bonfires while hollow, and there's certain opportunities to summon Solaire or other NPCs to help you with boss fights that only work if you're human. There's also parts where you can be invaded by hostile NPCs that can drop rare weapons or armour if you defeat them.
Hmm. Sounds like bonfires alone make it worth it. Not a fan of the PVP part myself, I mean I understand why it's there, but it doesn't mean i like it :P
I honestly don't have problems with the Depths anymore.
Blighttown on the other hand...
I've never been killed by a Basilisk
I didn't even know they attacked til I was summoned a few weeks ago and the host got cemented. I thought they were just mooks.

I tried drawing my character today.
Don't let me draw arms or hands ever again.
I've never been cursed and after wandering through the sewers a few times, I understand the layout of the depths well enough. Other than the blowdart guys I don't give a fuck about Blighttown and on my last character I took the back way and didn't give two fucks about the poison.
Probably the Catacombs and Tomb of the Giants are the only areas that reliably give me trouble.

You can skip that basilisk part of depths easy enough you casual.
I know how some people like to complain about how strong dark sorcery is, but jesus christ crystal soul spear at 50 magic is just obliterating everything.
If I had a dollar for every time I was lag-backstabbed, I'd be a fucking millionaire. My internet is shit.
Also, trying to invade as a Darkmoon is the most painfully uneventful thing ever.
Your internet really has nothing to do with it, unless you're on dialup. You're probably fighting people from across the world.
Woo, Artorias Christmas!
Woo, Artorias Christmas!
Artorias is seriously the biggest BAMF in the game.
dude will kick your ass with one arm and a nasty abyss cold
So my All Pyromancy All The Time build is going well so far

Getting the souls + humanity to get a Ascended Flame + 5 AND Chaos Storm was a pain in the ASS though.
[editline]4th December 2012[/editline]
I wonder if I could get all 4 Kings to show up at once, then Chaos Storm them to death in one go?
[editline]4th December 2012[/editline]
Unlikely
You could try using Dusk's Crown, Bellowing Dragoncrest Ring, and Power Within.
That would do some damage.
i wish lautrec had a bigger part. i think i remember reading that he was supposed to, but a bunch of stuff got cut.
he is sort of friendly and grateful once you free him, and once you invade him in londo it's just straight to "enemies forever"
I encountered a new kind of hack last night. The guy seemed to have some kind of kill sphere. Our connection was great so there weren't any network shenanigans. I ran towards him with my shield up and all of a sudden it goes TINKTINKTINKTINKTINKTINK breaks my guard, kills me. He never moved, all he did was the facepalm emote...

I've had similar stuff happen, wasn't really a sphere though. I got backstabbed by a guy across the room, though it was a backstab but then I got hit from the sides until I died as he backpedaled away. How people find this fun, I will never understand. I should find a way to bind godmode to a key and just turn it on whenever somebody decides to be a prick to invaders.
And for gankers.
[editline]4th December 2012[/editline]
And dark magic spammers.

Never let me have godmode, I will find a reason to use it on everyone.

Well the guy was killing gankers like myself invading in the burg so maybe that's how he justifies it (kinda like you just did...). I was invading new players and I'd just punch them barehanded while they were fighting regular enemies to interrupt their attacks and I'd body block them into rooms with enemies lol
But then I gave a bunch of people 99 titanite shards too. I try to maintain a balance.
Hey, hey guys. Guess what? TWoD is back.

When I say gankers I don't mean SL1 dickwraiths, I mean people who gang up 3v1 on invaders with the most OP setups they can dream up.

Ah
yeah I invaded someone who had a sunbro and a black phantom helping him and they all were twinked out
So, I'm doing a Velka build.
Why did nobody tell me sorcery was so much fun?

I just keep a trainer running in the background and use it whenever I encounter hackers.
I'm an SL1 Dickwraith and it's amazing how many people I'll invade, start kicking their ass, then suddenly their health fills up and they stop taking damage. Had a kid turn on hacks like that to avoid dying, I didn't even turn mine on and just kept kicking his ass for a solid 10 minutes. Eventually got tired of it, turned mine on, and drove him off a ledge.
I get using hacks in PvE to get from point A to point B quickly. Sometimes I turn them on when I just want to get somewhere and not have to deal with dodging enemies. But I always turn them off when someone invades/when I invade, there's no fun in being invincible during either one.
Curses don't stack anymore
what
WHAT
WHY
[editline]4th December 2012[/editline]
I FUCKING LOVED 1/8 HEALTH I MEAN HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE THAT SHIT

That's another service that SL1 dickwraiths provide the community, they teach all the newbie hackers that hacking in PVP isn't gonna fly. They always suck shit and are easy to push off cliffs, chain backstab, parry. Basically you can make a fool of them. They think they're the shit so they'll chase you so you can run up to the rafters and easily kick them off. The guilty pay the price.
And then you get a nice chunk of souls, I got 650,000 souls recently from a hacker in the burg.
If I wanted to be a Darkwraith, could I still join the covenant if I placed the lordvessel, but didn't talk to Frampt?
If I wanted to be a Darkwraith, could I still join the covenant if I placed the lordvessel, but didn't talk to Frampt?
So you just jumped down Frampt's gaping hole and placed it yourself?
I think that means you technically placed it through Frampt so yeah you might be boned.

Frampt disappears if you do it yourself, and the other guy doesn't show up at all after you kill Four Kings
