I keep dying near the dragon. Mostly by the guy on the small ledge and the things that poison you.

Just sit in the area directly opposite from the stairwell, and he can't get you. When he jumps down so he can, run between his legs to the bonfire, and out the door to the right so he'll fly away. EDIT: My wording makes it seem like opening the shortcut triggers his aggression, it doesn't. Just going down there is enough.

I have been doing the part leading up to the dragon all fucking day. Holy shit. [editline]11th December 2012[/editline] I discovered a new tactic called running. I ran and just kept running until I find a bonfire and then I ran past some blacksmith and a stone thing and now I'm killing bushes.

hey guys question! thinking of rolling a new character and want to roll mostly two-handed/one-handed no shield. Kind of like a badass block-with-the-sword thing going. What stats should I focus on?

You can get it really early on by killing the undead merchant and it's a great weapon if you want to keep your mobility, and saying you're wanting to do no shield that's a must. I'd recommend 2 handing it and wearing the grass crest shield on your back for faster stamina regeneration. Dodge for defense because blocking with a weapon will just get you killed. You'd want to put points into dexterity and level the uchi to +15, and you'll need vitality and endurance well stocked with points too.

An hour or two into the game when I finally got to that merchant I accidentally hit him. PopSkimo was watching the stream and he told me apparently that guy has a wife down in the sewers. Felt like an asshole using that sword. :(

My god, I was THIS close to beating Bubba and his Bitch. I used POWER WITHIN during the last stage, with no more flask. This boss battle was the most intensive and though-provoking thing I did today.

I just realized what I want in DkSII. A strength/dex restriction on armor. I don't want people with 16 str and 50 int waltzing around with a Greatsword and full havels because "lol havels fapring gives me fast roll"
