I've played this game a fuckload but I haven't done very much in the way of online stuff, aside from some very occasional pvp in the forest, so I am going to start with some bell gargoyle co-op
I've never had to summon anybody for this boss and I can't put a sign near the bonfire, so what places do people usually put them at?

People usually put the sign in front of the staircase going towards andre's bonfire. It's where the 2 hollowed soldiers and archer are.
Am I even able to get to the area with the forest hunter covenant without dying?
I mean, I haven't encountered that area yet so I assume it'd be a bit of a suicide run.
It would be. The AI is easy to exploit in that area though.
So yeah i am playing this for a while now, almost done with Blighttown.
And i think my character is mentally damaged after it

You have to bait them one at a time. If you do like me and just run in then you'll get gangraped by several rather powerful NPCs. If you can beat the ones on the left side and get to Alvina though, it's incredibly simple to get from there to the boss door.
I killed Drake and Josh
I summoned some random phantom and solaire
that random phanton did like
1/8 of their health each hit
sadly since theres no way to communicate in co-op we killed ornstein first.
I really wanted his armor

They've got 1600 HP each, it's not hard to do at least 200 if not more to them.
If I haven't communicated with the host through GFWL messages, I let them have the last hit by getting one boss down to almost no health, then moving to the other and doing the same letting the host kill whichever he wants. With +15 and High Str/Dex your DPS goes through the roof.
This game has spears, as an Elder Scrolls fan, this makes Dark Souls the best game ever instantly.
But Dragon's Dogma has capes, does this have capes? I've not seen any capes. Nor does it have pointy-eared people.
the Silver Knights and their armor have capes
I hate capes.
If you're that cold, wear some proper armour rather than a lace curtain.
Got invaded by a guy who was completely naked and using a composite bow. He killed me in 2 hits. His name? Glitch McTwink.
Nice.

This is fantastic. Also, without spoilers does your class affect anything other than your starting equipment and stats? I've heard conflicting accounts.

Some classes are more different than others. Knights and Priests start off in a Covenant, for instance.

No class has any major difference. Knights start with the prayer gesture and the way of the white covenant, and that's about the biggest difference. You can get every class's starting gear in various areas, every covenant is open to every class, etc.
Cleric has Way of White covenant and Prayer too, both are useless.Theif starts with Master Key but not only can you get that as a starting gift anyway, you can buy it at a certain point.
So yeah, starting class means little other than if you want to optimise your stats.

Thief starts with the master key, not bandit.
Not been introduced to covenants yet, nor the use for gestures (unless they're a co-op thing).
The classes only matter when you're planning out your build and want to min/max. A knight might make it to the stats you want in fewer level than a cleric for example because maybe you have no use for faith and the cleric wastes a bunch on that stat.

Gestures are for co-op/pvp, the prayer gesture is pretty useless for them, most of the time you'll just have people shrugging or something to be dicks. Way of the White is the covenant the knight starts with(and the only you can start as I believe), and it's available as soon as you get to Firelink just by talking to Petrus. Every class is on completely even ground.

Right ok, thank you.
Gestures can also be used in dark rituals to summon demons

Shhh, that's supposed to be a secret since it breaks the game.

What's about gfwl message system?
Shhh, that's supposed to be a secret since it breaks the game.
Yeah but it's used so often in PVP it's a really dumb unfair disadvantage if you don't know about it

You could say the same about pursuers.

Not to mention the Gwynevere's tits gag weapon. There's no way to keep that thing from smashing my face.
I think WingedWizard has a grudge against me, he rates most of my posts dumb
What a hater
[editline]14th December 2012[/editline]
He probably only rated me dumb because he's a baddie that uses demon summons on new players and doesn't want them to know about it.
I'm going to invade your butt if I find you.
heyy bby ;3
Ornstein took out my SL1 through what should have been a block when I only needed 1 hit to drop him and start the super smough fight.
Fuck.

He's probably still being a child over that conversation about using a controller. :v:

You made that avatar right? How in the hell would I go about doing the same with the trailer?
