Aliens are always called the survivors because they adapt to whatever situation they're put in. They're intelligent and quick thinking, also able to learn quickly.
That Tim guy who is pretty much leading the whole project refers to the alien as the survivor in the video that was posted earlier demonstrating the Alien story/gameplay a bit.

If you consider what timezone the devs are in You could say that the demo may be out today.

In most cases, I see what you mean about them being matched so well though, but I can't help but feel that the entire line is circumstancial.

eh, it'll have to do, though. it's kinda dumb how they're releasing it so close to the launch of the full game, though. I guess it's to get the hype at it's peak by the time the game is released.

Not sure if it was in AvP 2, but the sniper rifle seems to show the predators.
Is anyone else completely impressed and amazed by that body awareness? It looks almost like Mirrors Edge.
