This game did a bigger 180 than Joaquin Phoenix.

Laggy shit. Takes forever to get in the game. Can't mute people so I was stuck with a guy that had a high-pitched squeling coming out of his mic. I just ran around as the alien taping the E key and it gets you auto-kills.

What the Hell, The demo says its a early build of the game, So that gives me hope

Game sucks. Click the mouse1 button 5 times, win the battle. You may have to hit mouse2 once if they use the same strategy as you.

the game looks great, they need to overhaul MP

Found a match, was pretty slow. I think the original is better. And there's tons of connection problems. After two matches, I was unable to play in any because my connection 'timed out.'

Oh my god what the fuck is this I'm shatted, this is horribly disappointing. Another example of a game with heaps of potential that's been chewed up to fit on the consoles and spat out as a half-assed nothing. Controls are terrible, the way you connect to servers is terrible, the fact that everybody's microphone is ALWAYS ON is terrible Oh god I hope they can fix the fuck out of this before it's released.

oh hey no dedicated servers and it drops you if the host leaves, feels like i'm back in 1996. Anyway, they screwed this up big time, good thing I tried the demo and didn't buy it immediately like I originally planned!

Fucking hell. After taking ages to connect I get a match, mic spammer. And when game loads, I instantly crash to desktop with no errors.

And after giving it a chance its actually pretty fun, Although Barebones.

So how's the demo? Initial impressions?

I think the fact that the map isn't great and deathmatch doesn't help right now, but I have hopes for the main game. Only managed to play alien in 3 games so far too so can't comment on the others but I don't really like the fact that where I may possibly be safe on TDM I'm obviously not due to deathmatch. I think controls are fine although need some real getting used to the whole upside down thing.

Now now people, keep in mind that this is a demo, the full game will be patched, balanced, and will have shitloads more dedicated servers. So you might want to pump the brakes on your "Disappointment glands" and just be patient.

Only way i've been able to download mods and demo's from steam is to use the Run command and put in: "M:\Steam\Steam.exe" steam://install/34200 And even then it won't download it

Bit of a let down.

Dedicated servers aren't going to fix this god awful game.
