This demo seems to be a "Let's just shove something out there" instead of "Let's show off." I don't really care, I'm using it to benchmark and I only care about the Co-op and single player. :v:

I'd like to try this on a console, where both the controls might be easier for me to use and for smoother play. Running around as an alien is fun, especially when you sprint and then jump onto walls at lightning speed. It really messes up the enemy. However, while doing this, most of the time you're never going to find out what the fuck is happening because the alien likes to latch on to anything he can and never the surface you want to if an enemy is near it. The predator is fun. Using his multiple sights is fun and you can pick up weapons around the level. I got the throwable blade which kills everything in one hit, but it depletes energy that can be used for healing or cloaking. The marine is pretty cool in his own regard. The views look different for each of the classes, where the alien pretty much sees everything lit up all the time. I didn't realize how good the graphics were until I played the marine. Everything is kinda scary :P. His weapons don't seem to do much, but it could have just been me with my dated pc.

The game played fine for me. Though my video card some how overheated in 5 minutes vs like 10 hours while playing mass effect or bad company. The controls feel like shit.

Yeah everything is a little clunky, but I figured out that the alien is best for waiting on the ceiling or wall until a marine passes by, and then executing them. It's okay I guess. I'd really like to try it on xbox where I'd have better FPS.

i think all the problems are just demo related. i still get the feeling it's gonna be a good game.

So far I've had most fun with Predator and Marine. Focus jumps are fun to fuck with people when cloaked: in front of them, now behind them, now in front of them etc. Marine is just tense as hell, since you have to check the walls and ceilings for incoming, not just floors. Still, the way online is handled, the clumsy controls and horrid mouse-movement, and general clunkiness of it all has to be fixed... My biggest problem is lag, and maybe the uncontrollability of mics. Other than that I'm having fun. Hopefully the matchmaking won't suck, or will be replaced in the full release. Also, I wish free for all actually meant free for all and not 2 predators, 3 aliens, and the rest are marines. I'd like to have a match of all predators or all aliens. That'd be fun.

I guess it's back to AVP Gold and AVP 2.

Also I only ever had 1 problem with the host leaving in a hour
