Alien Vs Predator 3 (Preview trailer released, half a second of gameplay!!!) - Games

Demo is superb, I hate that it is DM only but still, all races were balanced and I did a good job as a marine. :v:

It seems marine is not going to be the cannon/claw/blade fodder we thought he was going to be, he is actually pretty strong against both alien species.

A big open map should change the gameplay mechanics quite significantly. TDM on an open map will be pretty awesome.

How do you aim with the spear or disk at predator? I can't select it (nothing happens when I press 2 or 3) and when I click middle mouse button this lazer appears, but I can't aim it just instantly fires.

Ugh. They butchered the smartgun firing sound effect. Hopefully it can be changed easily once the game released.

Is funny to run around a pipe as an Alien while marines with shitty aim try to shoot you. I don't see why they didn't make it team deathmatch tough, is annoying to get killed by another marine

I killed the alien and some other alien stabs me in the back. Nice.

Heh i got into game and first it felt hard and complex but just playing a while as alien it was all easy. I ripped some poor guys head off and bite thrue head and stuff like that. I really can't wait for the full game!

Can't find any games, I wish the demo would let you host servers so I could atleast see and feel what it's like.

[/QUOTE] Doesn't really work that well when I'm playing Alien. It's so broken that I'm able to keep repeatedly transitioning from wall to wall, tail whip once + slash and insta-kill everything. Very rarely do I die, and I've won the last 9 games I've played (I consider that a ton for how long it takes to get in each one) and if I do it's from a fluke by some guy tapping the E-key when I go down to the floor. Pretty sad how much they screwed up the gameplay from the previous games. Marine is done decently, Predator is meh. Alien is just all in all bad. You don't have to be stealthy, at all.

The disk will follow the lazer, the spear will just fly in a straight line, you can lay mines and if you hold look at someone with the shoulder cannon, you will lock onto them and ensure face melting. Provided you picked them up from around the map of course.

Downloading the demo AS WE SPEAK, and currently ripping the alien trilogy soundtrack so I can listen to that whilst I play. (:

They better patch this demo up, I've just spent over 10 minutes on the "searching for games" screen and no servers appeared.

I'm in the UK apparantly this guy was from Japan...no noticeable lag though which was wierd.

So is the actual game bad or is it just bad server connections and long waiting/loading times?
