I dont know why everyone is complaining about other than the matchmaking, i freaking love this!

Jesus christ. My friend came up to me today, with his cocky bastard look on his face and said "cancel your preorder of AVP, it's shit and I'll tell you why" So he does this all the time so I just sit back and ask him why. He explains that he's read through the overclockers forums and it's 10 pages of hate on the game. I ask him what's bad about it and he says he doesn't know... Then a thought pops into my head; the demo wasn't out last night when I went to bed, and I had school today, so how did he read through 10 forum pages in the short time he has between getting up and going to school? I am confused so I ask him how long the demo has been out, he says 3 days. Okay so first answer wrong. Next I tell him that we can't really judge the whole game since it's just a multiplayer demo (he NEVER plays multiplayer games) He denies this and says it has singleplayer, when I tell him it doesn't he just says "oh well the xbox demo has singleplayer" Well... it doesn't, so... He then performs his old haymaker: holds his chin up high and says "just trust me, I know" I then go into a fit of rage as he always does this, when in reality he knows jack shit. So I dismiss him and get back to work. And that's the story of my day.

Ever since I've gotten used to the whole alien movement and transistions, I've found myself doing quite good. also E attacks are useless, don't even bother, a simple lunge attack and a lmb swipe or two will kill them say 3 or 4 times faster than an E attack plus chances of being kill are slim as you can get away much quicker. Also being a predator when there's no aliens is really awesome.

I got bored pretty quickly as a Marine, just point and click and don't stop clicking till that thing stops making sounds. I think I fell asleep with Predator.

Game ready to play in 10 seconds! :v: Can't wait!

I've downloaded the demo for 360. I think it's awesome, can't wait for the full game. 3 campaigns, survival mode, etc.

My first tyr as a marine was alright, 12 kills and 9 deaths, yet as alien i sucked, guess it just takes some getting used to.

Meh it's ok, marine sucked hard, just get raped from pretty much all angles, not played predator, alien seemed fun in some places, killed the predator about 3-4 times just from stalking him along the roof. It's a shitty demo in my opinion of what could be a really good game which is a shame.

i'm downloading to see if my awful laptop can run it. I remain hopeful.

Atleast fullversion will have dedicated servers, browser list and ability to create normal server yourself.

Feels really generic and not fun, the combat is just button mashing on the xbox and doesn't feel like anything new, not buying.

I played both the PC and Xbox demo. I did significantly better on the Xbox thanks to a lack of FPS drops and shit like that. the only way to improve that on the PC would be to get rid of the laptop and build a beast. when comparing the price of building a new PC to just getting the Xbox version, I decided it would be smarter financially to just get the Xbox version. no offense to the PC players out there.

Not many I could understand if it felt generic playing as the Marine but the unique thing about AvP games is that you can play as all 3 species in one game and at the same time. No other game has that, it always pits you against two teams of the same health and abilities and never seems to mix it up
