Alien Vs Predator 3 (Preview trailer released, half a second of gameplay!!!) - Games

So in retrospect I rather like it. A few problems, though: Melee and grab range is ridiculous. I shouldn't be able to grab people when I'm 15 feet away from them. Marines feel horribly weak. They're hilariously easy prey and hilariously tough to play as. Perhaps this will be mitigated by teamwork. The camera feels really, really bumpy when playing as an Alien. I mean, sure, it should switch when climbing things, but does it really need to switch orientation for every literal crack in the ceiling?

I hope that the game is more balanced in the full version.

:frown: My laptop couldn't handle it, I spent 2 minutes searching for a game, it loaded; announcer said it was Deathmatch and then it crashed. :( I'll go round a friends sometime and play it :P

Aliens movement is just too much of a handful, finding yourself scouring boxes while in the middle of attacking is a right pain in the ass, Marine is the easiest to get the hang of and easy to get kills but there's not much else to it other than point shoot kill. I played predator a bit, but not enough to say if i like it or not. Personally i prefer the marines because it's got a simple learning curve, Aliens movement hinders it greatly cause you loose your attackers to easy while trying to scoure walls n shit.

I played my first match and I was blown away, I don't see what all the hate is about. Though I do agree that deathmatch was a terrible demo idea. Got 2nd without knowing a single thing before playing (Which was a bad move on my part).

I just want to sandbox around with someone. Like observe the models, fool around and get some practice, but no one on my friends list has the demo :/

Had an epic battle with an alien as a predator, all the players in the server watched us as we fight we kept blocking eachother's attacks for a while, then the alien got me from behind, it wasn't nice being impaled by it's tail after that cool fight :frown:

I hope theres more trophy kills in the full game, doesn't bother me that much but i'd want more

Been playing for a while now. With the update, finding a match is 100 times easier, and staying IN said match is also not a problem anymore. My personal goal in each match is to unite the alien players onto a "team". Its pretty amusing seeing various aliens sprinting about, gnawing on the ankles of the other species. One particular match was going so well for us that the others began to team up as well. Really fun demo.

Im gonna ship out a DEMONSTRATION version from 10 months ago, so everyone can totally see how the game was 10 MONTHS AGO, and noone can see if its better or even worse now. People are going to buy my product by dealin with an old, bugged version! That is so fuckin rational, its unbelievable. I personally have no problem, other than the miserable, horrible, out-of-this-world match making which will be gone in the full. After the second match i got tired of playing as Alien. I always end up as one of them and it doesnt even keep me entertained throughout one whole round. Its an okay game, I'll see if i buy it when its released.

I found one stealth kill as an alien that makes you look like your raping a marine in the ass! We also tried to see how far it takes for a grab to take effect and it's pretty long for a close range attack. We also found out that the Pistol is not a good weapon, PERIOD on anything but another Marine on 1 bar of health

I saw my brother (predator) getting impale'd by an alien tail so I went further down the hall, waited with patience... and.... WHAM! Hit that alien square in the temple with a plasma caster.

The big thing about playing as a marine and succeeding by getting a decent kill level is knowing the weaknesses of your race, namely, above and behind you, so do a 360 sweep often and don't forget to look up and most importantly [I]check those corners[/I]
