1. Go into the .minecraft folder, and into "bin"
2. Open up minecraft.jar with 7-zip OR Winrar
3. Go into the environment folder, and edit the cloud.png file and make it completely transparent
4. Go in game to see no clouds :buddy:

Set the graphics mode to Fast, it will both raise the clouds above the map limit and make them 2D like they used to be. The only other things that are changed are that leaves become solid (Looks better anyway IMO.) and the vignetting is gone

This mod changes the way you sleep in minecraft. Instead of skipping, it "simulates" the night, making trees & crops grow, furnaces smelt (as if you were awake) and mobs spawn. You can also sleep during the day and you heal 2 hearts. Sounds like a very decent mod.
