It is down to Java running out of memory, I've only got 1.5gb so I'm starting to see it an awful lot.
However it does beat what I was getting before where it just crashed to desktop and spammed a txt file of errors.
However this does prove that Notch's poor coding isn't enforcing the memory restriction which it should, where MC should only use 50% of the memory available to it.

8gb and blackscreens are quite common
Just got my fifth wolf! I'm starting to think about putting them in separate bases, so I don't need to move them from one base to another if I need to go to the other base.
For April Fool's, since I own the Herobrine account, I put some 'deal with it' coolshades on Herobrine and keep bobbing my head up and down in-game:

My game crashed and regenerated the chunk I was in.
