How the hell do people make these pressure plate tables?

Only got Minecraft yesterday, it is pretty good. :buddy: Had no confrontations on normal difficulty yet, but my current house is a two story dirt one until I get the hang of things. Made me jump one time to see a Zombie staring through my window. :frown:
