Oh god, a creeper managed to get in my house so I lured it into a closet and locked it in there.

I need some advice to improve my mob trap;

I have made a series of elevated platforms and pathways with cactus along the bottom, I walk out on the pathways to get mobs following me then I walk them to the cactus so they die, Then I go down the nearest ladder point and collect what they drop.

this works well and I get alot of sulfur (which is the only reason I made it)

But I have two issues

1) Skeletons are hard to get to hit the cactus
2) spiders climb onto my platforms

Any advice

Also Im thinking of making a mob kill thread for traps and designs such as this, would this be a good idea?

dig a hole above and flood it
