It would be awesome if the map generator would change it's 'mean' height sometimes, so you could have big cliffs and canyons that are really large and aren't really just tiny mesas.

Notch should add the minecart boosters/breakers, auto crafting bench, auto furnace and all that jazz. Because creating factories is awesome.

Oh and on the subject of mob traps, poisonous water would be good (possibly by using slime balls? :tinfoil:)
