I wanna make a minecraft Friday parody now.
Idea: Expand the video settings menu. Checkboxes for fancy clouds and leaves. Slider for draw distance. Et cetera.
I want to see Short and Tiny render distance without the fog. Because when I first change to Far, the FPS is fine while it starts to render everything, and you can still see the sky. I like seeing the sky.

Ugh... i hate when i join new servers from FP due to my username. Since my name contains mario in it everytime i join a server everyone freaks out and thinks im Mario583. Why can't notch just release a system where you can change your username?
I wanna make a minecraft Friday parody now.
WHICH CART SHOULD I TAKE c
Hypothetically. Let's say you had water, than built a layer of dirt ontop of that than you could increase your crop yields, right? The water doesn't need to be on the same level, yeah?
My idea got some positive feedback so I posted it on get satisfaction. Basically I'm suggesting all animals should have wild and domestic version like the wolf has. Link

This cave just doesn't end! :byodood: There's been at least 3 hours put into exploring this one cave system and there's STILL more to it.
WHICH CART SHOULD I TAKE c
Gotta have my bowl gotta have mushroom soup, seeing all those ores just gets me going! Suns rising up and up zombies burning gotta make my way down to the mineshaft, gotta get a cart, then I see Diamonds! [editline]22nd March 2011[/editline] We're mining, mining gotta get down and start mining! Everybody looking out for some diamonds, diamonds! Mining mining hanging down in the caves, everybody looking out for some diamonds! Digging and digging, yeah! Look out for creepers, yeah! RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN
that should answer your question
What should?
What's a good free recording software with no watermark or trial period/limitations? I want to show off my house's basement
Once again I had no choice but to prematurely abort the exploration of the aptly-named "Clusterfuck Caverns" because I ran out of wood. Yeah, a whole stack of logs for torches/ladders, and not even so much ladders, and it STILL wasn't enough. But in the end, it was a good haul.
I'd be paranoid of falling in lava with even a fourth of that inventory.
Oh there was lava, it was like I dug into Hell or something. But thankfully my experience in spelunking had paid off. [editline]22nd March 2011[/editline]
Is that red block iron?
Yeah, it's a tweaked GeruDoku pack that I'm using. I like it, higher contrast on the ores makes them easier to pick out in dark caves. :v:
use Procaster
But isn't that made for livestream? I need recording software for making youtube videos
i fell asleep lol [editline]22nd March 2011[/editline] staneh won the raffle
Oh well that's cool
Accidentally detonated the tnt while I was filling up the underground of my nuketown and blew half of it up :(
Been searching 1-2 hours for coal, couldnt find any, found a mob spawner, looted chests, found gunpowder. 1 minute after everyone raged about my traps in their houses. God i love dynamite.
I guess you already had gunpowder then because by "everyone" I'm guessing there were 3 or more people, and it takes 5 gunpowder per TNT, and you can't get 15 gunpowder in one dungeon. Also for coal, just dig down like 10 blocks, then dig in a straight line for 10 minutes (2 high, 1 wide) and you will find loads. Don't worry about lighting the way. Just keep moving and you shouldn't have to worry about stuff spawning and killing you.
It's not that hard to get TNT, even legit. You just make one of those fancy water/mob traps and leave the game on for an hour. Bam, stacks and stacks of gunpowder. Just be sure you have some in your inventory to begin with, so the gunpowder stacks on that. Otherwise you just have pork and eggs.

Better to hollow out even a small space than rely on above ground mobs to fall in.
I still think that "Sulphur" and Coal should be craftable into Blackpowder, which is basically gunpowder. But since guns are out of the question (no-brainer), one could always make bombs with them. The basic Bomb would have the Blackpowder at the centre, a piece of String in the top-right square, and 4 Flint in the top, bottom, left and right squares. The end-result is basically a throwable explosive that looks like the traditional cartoon bomb. It isn't stackable, so don't expect to be able to Demospam. It doesn't destroy as much of the environment as a TNT block, as it has an explosive power of 2, as opposed to the 4 of TNT, the 3 of the Creeper, and the 1 of the Ghast's Fireball. For more info on Explosions, check the wiki page. http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Explosion If you were able to afford it, you could in theory exchange the Flint for Iron to yield a more powerful bomb, and if you were really REALLY rich, one could even use Diamond for a bomb of maximum quality, greater even than TNT and the Powder Keg (i'll explain later). Although I wouldn't necessarily encourage such usage of Diamonds, even if it looked awesome in that deleted scene from The Last Minecart. Best to stick with Iron if you can afford it. Add 3 Slimeballs to the crafting recipe (top-left, bottom-left, bottom-right) to create a Sticky Bomb, capable of sticking to surfaces and mobs, for more "predictable" demolitions. Another potential recipe using Blackpowder could be the Powder Keg, using 3 Blackpowder and 6 Planks to make a Powder Keg, a more expensive, stabler and more powerful version of TNT (Kegs have a Power rating of 5). Hitting a Keg won't set it off; you'll need to set it on fire, but you can't ignite it just like that since it'll blow up in your face. This is where another quality of Blackpowder comes in; it is both flammable and placeable, similar to Redstone Dust. Simply leave a trail of Blackpowder leading away from the Keg, light the fuse, and watch it blow. Basically, I propose advanced Gunpowder, Bombs, Sticky Bombs that use Slimeballs, and a blackpowder keg that is more powerful, more complex and more expensive than TNT.
I might be late with this one but I just noticed that redstone gives off light when being mined
Yes, it does. It's a cool effect if you ask me.
