found a spawner completely covered in gravel on Profans server, and the chests were stuck together as a double chest

y'know, every update I go "surley that isn't ALL thats in the update, Notch wouldnt release and hype up an entire update for just beds, even the seeecret friday updates had more content and they were weekly. Maybe theres some more things to be released on that update"

I was mining on MedicWine's server with a friend. We found about 15-25 diamonds. (Idk how many he found but I found 7, excluding making a diamond pick, sword, and shovel.) Tons of redstone. A little iron. And tons of gold. If only mobs were enabled for more of a challenge :smith:

But compass does not change its direction.

It means that if you build near spawn (like most smart people) can go out and explore and find your way back.
Compasses are such a waste of reddust and iron. There's basically useless unless you have everything directly at your spawn point. I guess if you really wanted to use them though, you can make a bed, and use MCedit to make your spawn there. Still too much of a pain in the ass though.

If I'm not mistaken, clouds go north, so you could follow them. That would be a lot more helpful though, especially for SMP.
Actually I use a minimap mod, so I have no purpose for compasses.
And even without that, you can write down the coordinates of your house and use that.

If you think about it, the compass truly is COMPLETELY useless, it literally does nothing except point to your spawn, which you might not live at, and it won't point to your bed when you can make it your spawn point, it doesn't point north, or towards a point you can set up, it just sits there and does nothing.

Hi, I'm running a server called CreeperTown.
Our goal is to be 100% open for everyone, that means no whitelist and we are also trying to be almost completely safe from griefers.
To do that, we have a plugin made by our own trusty programmer (ObliviousOnion!) called WorldLock.
What it does is kind of like a Garry's Mod prop protector. It logs every block you place while also keeping them from being destroyed by other places that you have not added to your "friends list".
It also has a nifty feature that allows us to destroy every block you have place so don't try anything stupid like blocking someone in!
Our spawn isn't a lot to look at though, but we want people to build away from spawn to be safer from griefers. Feel free to join at: creepertown.no-ip.org:28852
Oh, and we are working on adding some creeper dungeons at the moment!
