Also, I was mining a new step-shaft west of Rollercoast Underpass, and I ran out of Stairs as I was building the ascent step-shaft. But as luck would have it, I discovered a whole new cave system there, where I found a substantial amount of Gold and Coal, as well as some Iron. Eventually I had enough, so I decided to get outta there, but fate frowned, and I forgot the way back. After wandering around, avoiding Lava and monsters, and running out of Torches, I eventually found a hole in the ceiling of one of the upper caves, through which I saw sky and trees. Using some Dirt, I made one of those jump-column thingies, y'know where you jump and place a block beneath you, and ascended from the vast Puzzling Caves, as I now term them. I emerged in a forest west of my "Zeppelin Tower", and breathed a sigh of relief, for I was free of the caves at last, and free to return home... Now it's time to make the trek back home, and make use of the spoils of my "Adventure in the Puzzling Caves". But there is still much to find down there, and I will probably return there one day, and complete the ascent portion of the shaft that led me to the caves.

Are there any tutorials for mod-making out here?

Dunno if this is the right thread for asking, but well, anyone got a link to a good map editor? I seriously can't find a single one for the beta on the Mineacraft forums.
