I don't know if I'll ever get gold for my Chicom. That thing is just a bitch sometimes, especially with double kills. It's a lot easier in hardcore, though, I guess.
SMR with Select Fire, Fore Grip and Quickdraw Handle master race reporting in.
Grip does not have any effect on the guns in the game.
Grip does not have any effect on the guns in the game.
It kind of helps with the MTAR, maybe, but the MTAR is already accurate as hell.
So how is the riot shield in this game? It was my absolute favorite in Mw2 and with all the small, cramped maps where every room has 2-4 entrances, it sounds like it might be good to use. Seriously, my only gripe with this game is the maps.
with all the lag compensation you don't really wanna go for a riot shield unless you have a bad connection.

Wait... they're bringing back an old zombie map, or is that going to be different? [editline]30th December 2012[/editline]
So, anyone able to register for elite on the computer? I keep trying to register on the Cod website but it just sends me into an infinite re-direct loop to the register page.
It did that to me for about a month, then suddenly worked.

got and end of the round killcam with the bomb in demolition. some guy dived into it to defuse and right as he nailed his head on it it blew up :V heh
got and end of the round killcam with the bomb in demolition. some guy dived into it to defuse and right as he nailed his head on it it blew up :V heh
Talk about using your head :v:
Theres a fucking gay ass glitch on Xbox zombies right now, all the snipers have hipfire accuracy, when in scope, holding breath. I thought it was just me, but my friend tried it and sure enough none of the rounds fly straight.
Hello, I regularly have a 4+ k/d with the Type 25, SCAR-H, FAL and MTAR against teams of SMG users. (Also I have only 80 hours played in this game and it's my first Call of Duty game.) I'm here to tell you that you don't know how to play with a rifle and try to use it as an SMG, and thus fail at it. Here's a tip, free of charge: if you go head to head with an SMG you're dead. And another one: if you fire at an SMG user from behind cover or a flank he's dead and you're not.
Thanks man, I'd never thought of that before.... Also, btw, it's impossible to NOT go head to head, as they've made all the maps cramped small and claustrophobic. Go play something like Red Orchestra or Battlefield BC, BC2, BF3, Counterstrike and pretty much any other decent shooter, and you'll see how map balance affects gun viability. Also you said this was your "first call of duty game". I've played every Call of Duty since it started, so The "you don't know how to play with a rifle" is bullshit. Treyarch just made it so the rifles are garbage through making the SMG hip spray ridiculously accurate, and not buffing AR damage at all ranges. Furthermore, all the maps are designed for fast moving run and gun. If you had any experience with any of the CoD games you'd see just how out of line the SMGs are in this game. (Cases in Point, CoD2,3 and CoD4, WaW, MW2 etc) You can try WaW, Cod4, even the steaming shit piles that are MW2 and MW3 and you'll see there is at least a semblance of gun/map balance that is missing in BO2. I'm not bothered about people putting me as dumb either. I've played enough Call of Duty and other decent shooters, and I'm pretty good, normally at the top of lobbies. It's a shame, because the Treyarch games were usually the better balanced ones (but being better balanced than MW2 or 3 is not hard).

If you know how to use them, how is it possible that you can't do well with them, while I can? How comes I manage to get in fights with an advantage by using cover and smart placement on the same maps where you say it's impossible? I played BC2, BF3, CS and pretty much any other decent shooter. I've played them a lot, in fact. I'm not comparing the game to previous CoDs, where you could run and gun with any weapon. In this particular game, you can't do that with an AR, but that doesn't mean they're underpowered. However, and this may be why we seem to disagree, I was specifically talking about the "objective" game modes (not TDM and KC, basically). In TDM and KC, of course, the SMGs are "overpowered" (in that they are better for those particular game modes). [editline]30th December 2012[/editline] (also I love how you don't classify CoD as a decent game, yet played every single one of them)

[editline]30th December 2012[/editline] (also I love how you don't classify CoD as a decent game, yet played every single one of them)
Ok heres some stuff for you. 1) Didn't say anywhere I was "so much better than you", but okay, if you want to be the "GUYS I HAVE A 4KD I SHOULD BE PRO" go ahead. 2) I can use the rifle, I just think that the SMGs are so massively overpowered that anyone who CANT use rifles, just shits on people by running at them and holding down Fire. I'm a fan of gun skill. Any game where an opponent can beat you by luck and not skill is not a fun game for me. Halo for example. In my opinion, much more tactical, people practice their DMR shot, and they win games because they are better. In CoD and now in Black Ops 2, the winner is the first person to get to the middle choke point in the map, and spray SMGS until the end. 3) Objective game modes will always favour camp style gameplay, SnD, Demo, Dom etc. So natrually SMGs will be less effective. My issue is mostly with the maps and how they've made it impossible to hold down an area and win gun fights by making every place have a million and one entrances into it, and secondly, that all the areas you can hold down are the size of a bathtub and anyone rushing through can put you down my holding down shoot. CoD is a shit game. I played them all as a young teen, then MW2 and MW3 I borrowed from friends, and was given Black Ops as a gift. I actually enjoyed BO1 more than any other CoD, with the exception of COD4 which is in my opinion, the best CoD and still is (closely followed by WaW). I avoid CoD at all costs now, and will continue to do so. Which platform do you play on?
Grip does not have any effect on the guns in the game.
replace foregrip with hybrid then

Well, figure I might leave this right here just to highlight scientific proof that console-kiddies can be dumbasses sometimes.
so if the new zombie map is "die rise", does this mean it's a remake of highrise from mw2?
Also, yeah, got the ending where [sp]Menendez escapes prison and kills Woods before burning himself to death over his sister's grave like the incest-loving creep he is. And then they all met up in the afterlife for some guitar concert or whatever where we discovered that Woods' kneecaps are augmented.[/sp] Can't tell if I got a bad ending or a good ending. Does the Avenged Sevenfold scene mean I got a good ending, or does that always play at the end?

Also, going to be honest, BO2 doesn't really feel like a sequel to the original, apart from the fact it has some of BO1's characters in it. In fact, if it didn't have BO1's characters in it, I'd say this was a sequel in name only. BO1's events are completely irrelevant to the story with the exception of one or two passing mentions. I mean, as terrible and half-assed as the Modern Warfare trilogy was, it's sequels continued the same story-arc as the previous. "Nova-Six" isn't even muttered once by anyone, and there's no mention of all the Soviet sleeper agents who have Nova Six stockpiles in the US which could be readily deployed by accident or someone deciding to continue Dragovich's plan.
I think the only references included Woods, Mason and his son, and limited to other missions the trio went on in the 70s and 80s. Such as Woods and Mason in Afghanistan, [sp]Kravchenko and some mentions of Reznov[/sp], and explaining [sp]how Mason 'died' from Woods shooting him in the face[/sp] I guess it's called 'black ops' because you do secret missions to change the fate of whatever
I mean, it can be commended for one thing that doing so at least averted the cliched and trite Mercuh versus Commies story that EVERY SINGLE FPS today has.
I'm still dying of laughter at the mega-tank in Old Wounds and how quickly you blow it to smithereens. It felt like something a WWII Germany would've done.
sounds like a [sp]bad[/sp] ending to me
i didn't realize there were several different endings, i mean i thought maybe one or two but not as many as there are, going to have to rewind and do things differently
i didn't realize there were several different endings, i mean i thought maybe one or two but not as many as there are, going to have to rewind and do things differently
Yeah, I'll probably rewind my story like I did with Heavy Rain and patch up a few of my fuckups to see if I can get the golden ending. [editline]30th December 2012[/editline] Also, that's an avatar I haven't seen in years... [editline]30th December 2012[/editline] The sad thing was was that I thought I was doing everything right before the ending. Nothing more satisfying than killing [sp]Defalco[/sp] from across the map with a Kap40
see i thought alot of BlopsII was predetermined i didn't know you could kill that guy when they're escaping with [sp]Karma[/sp]
I love using LMGs. Such underrated weapons, ESPECIALLY the LSW. Everyone tends to go for the LSAT or the HAMR. But I love underrated guns. I used the terrible pm9 in mw3 when everyone went for the fmg-9, acr, or mp7 setup. I don't know about you guys, but I like a challenge.
