Is it really as tiny and cramped as it looks? They said they are focusing on a vertical layout with cramped interiors.
It's definitely unique for zombies. It's small inside, and it takes a bit of getting used to, but there's interesting areas. I haven't played it a loooot, but I'm certain there's better opinions on youtube.
Wtf Zombies is broke on Xbox for me and my friend, crashes the second you get to the menu for me, and for him its crashing the second he hits Xbox live in zombies Right now I'm in a crashed zombies lbby with some retarded green background
I really dislike the "150 kills minus X" thing for camos. No attachments is okay, but no perks is a huge bitch, and is just frustrating.

I can survive not going as fast, or being without XRay technology vision, just as long as my weapon has fuzzy dice and rear view mirrors to make up for it.

While most areas are cramped, there are still some very viable spots for training zombes, the roof is nice and open, the upside down lobby is good too, and i had moderate success with the power room. Got most of the perks mapped out now, the changing of floors is a good idea, but you can just park at whatever you want for a couple of minuted and it will return to your floor. Have yet to face the dragon, but minions are a pain in the ass, and the armoured zombies add a slight variety in early waves when youre trying to conserve ammo. Not done any of the easter egg yet, dont know where to start. Ive found the new nav card, and made the wonder weapon, but thats about it for "secrets" I think i may prefer this map to tranzit. mostly due to the fog being a bitch As for the regular maps ive played Grind, Hydro and the sandy one. Grind: Dont really like it, every time ive played was against a premade team all with peacemakers and just got destroyed. There are a few good spots but the curves everywhere are just awkward. Hydro: I really liked this map, the flooding in the middle is nice, makes you have to think a little. Ladders in the flood area to flag B mean if you time right you can do a nice ambush, or walk around to the enemy side and get some sneaky kills in. The sandy one: Mixed feelings, theres a bus on one side which feels a little biased, and some awkward balconies around the back that are just annoying Strange how ive not had Downhill pop up yet but eh, theres plenty of time. As for the peacemaker, personally i hate it. minimum 4 shot kill as far as i could tell. Not used other subs in a while but im sure PDW was 3 shot close range at one time, kicked alot less and had better ammo. The only thing i like about it is the default "camo"

Who needs perks when you got swag? But in all seriousness I load up with danger close and primary gunfighter.

I know theyre gonna be awkward so i tend to just make a class that is the gun im doing, a secondary, and grenades. no attachments, no perks. get them both done at the same time and then rock out in gold
So from now on my new mouse layout is Left Click - throw axe right click - shoot [ballistic knife mostly] middle click - ADS Actually had a really good night, got 3 REALLY good banks, and the game actually saved the files. But i have to go to sleep now since i have work super early :c

Tried again in an hour and it worked.
what's this i hear about a patch? and double xp weekend? i've been on hiatus for a while, dunno what this is all about.
I really dislike the "150 kills minus X" thing for camos. That's a handful of games, unless you're a player who gets less than 10 kills a match. It irritates me on guns where I normally use Fast Mag because the slow reload animations are just a bitch to watch, but I honestly think it's quite easy. I'm also used to Engineer/Tactical Mask, so not having them normally throws me off and I die to the tactical crap a lot. The worst ones are the ones where you have to grind up headshots until Typhon camo. After that, I feel relieved when I reach the 150 kills with no perks/attachment challenges.
what's this i hear about a patch? and double xp weekend? i've been on hiatus for a while, dunno what this is all about.
a patch was released the other day with a few balances to weapons (smgs didn't really get nerfed at all) double weapon xp weekend is this weekend; play and your weapons get twice the XP. last weekend it was double xp for ranks. [editline]30th January 2013[/editline] also last night I found Ph.D. Flopper on Die Rise but I don't think there's any way to get to it. God dammit Treyarch I do not approve of this.
double weapon xp weekend is this weekend; play and your weapons get twice the XP. last weekend it was double xp for ranks.
Damn it, i can't play this weekend. I would have gotten so many weapons to prestige 2 and plaster my emblem all over my stuff. I even have some weapons that I have gold but only first prestige...
The Peacekeeper is now part of my Gold Gun collection.

On an assault rifle I'll usually have stock, quickdraw, lightweight, ghost, toughness, dexterity and tac mask. Losing all these things means I've gone down from about 40 kills to about 15 and getting about 20 deaths. I think toughness also makes it difficult, I'm so used to it. It's weird to take a full magazine and actually flinch. Diamond SMGs were a lot easier though.
oh that's neat, but i didn't notice a patch or double xp last weekend.
replying to myself: Apparently it's not out yet on PS3/PC/Wii U, dunno why I didn't get x2XP though.
Heh, I just got a double kill with one EMP grenade (explosion not impact).
Anybody find any neat secrets on Die Rise Yet?
Could you guys spoiler tag zombie secret shit? Half the fun is finding things out.
at the same time, some of the secrets and achievements they put in the zombies are so long and convoluted you need to read it first. I honestly don't know how people figure the shit out if it's not the devs outright saying "hey this is the easter egg"
my 2 cents on sniping its meant to be long range cover for the allies in closer ranges that's all it should ever be, but that hardly works in Call of Duty being such a fast paced CQC centered arcade FPS, but on those bigger maps, let the snipers shine

The only good long range map is Turbine and even that map sucks for that.
Black Ops 1 had some amazing maps for sniping. Villa, Discovery, Convoy, Havana, WMD, Berlin Wall, Hotel, Hazard. Even then, every map had at least 2 spots for a sniper to use. Same with CoD4. The maps were so so well laid out in both games. [editline]30th January 2013[/editline] Shit and WaW maps. They were fucking hugely open in WaW. At least some of them were. Seelow, Roundhouse, Airfield, and Downfall? I fucking loved the WaW maps. So big and open, but they played pretty well. I want remakes of Banzai, Knee Deep, and others.

Although the Blops 2 maps are all unbalanced in favor of SMG use and against sniper use, at least most of them actually do have balanced routes and proper choke points. I never feel like I'm trapped in my spawn or unable to get somewhere on the map because some asshole set up camp there.

Nah, sniping doesn't have to always be about blocking off avenues. It can also be about long-range cover fire and being able to accurately take out enemies in large open areas. Unfortunately, raised areas and open areas also don't exist in any of the maps in Blops 2. They could still theoretically have made maps that had expansive and strategic areas that helped to complement all playstyles in one way or another. Like in COD4, everyone thinks the best sniping map is Crossfire or something like that, but my favorite was always Strike because even when playing with a sniper there were only two good sniper spots, but they didn't cover a lot of ground so it was better to move around a lot. The only places that covered a lot of area were also exposed and you could easily get a lot of kills or get killed easily so it was a big gamble. I mean, good maps aren't good because you're guaranteed to win if you use a certain loadout. Good maps are good because they allow you to apply your playstyle and still have options that work, even if it's a high risk option. Sniping in Blops 2 doesn't really have any risks to take with sniping because exposed areas aren't very big and even sniper tower areas really only face other sniper towers, like on Meltdown, Drone, or Cargo. You're either gonna get killed by someone with a better suited weapon than you, or you're gonna get killed by another sniper who was faster than you.

Snipers are campers.
Not all of the time. If you want to play to win you have to move, otherwise people will get tired of your shit and just start lobbing grenades your direction or rushing behind you. Not to mention taking objectives or teammates rushing the other end of the map will change the enemy spawn, meaning no matter what you'll have to move otherwise you'll start losing targets. It's just that snipers are long range devastators and there are no long ranges in Black Ops 2 that are worth a damn. Everything that is a 'long range' in this game is easily outclassed by an assault rifle.
