Just got the DSR Gold, nearly got it mastered.

I haven't even got Ghostex: Delta 6 yet with the Assault Shield.

The assault shield is all right if you have scavenger and shock charges. Along with perks like lightweight and extreme conditioning.

Yup, then you pick up a new shield every time you walk on a scav pack. After three you have a shield on each side and are nearly impossible to kill. After fifteen it creates a big hamster ball of riot shields and you are completely impossible to kill, and you run in the ball to make it roll on enemies.

my current favorite class is an assault shield class
in fact, it's a completely supportive class. none of the parts improve my lethality with anything.

gonna share for all of you:

Primary: Assault Shield (obviously)
Secondary: FHJ-18 AA
Perk 1: Hardline + Flak Jacket
Perk 2: Fast Hands + Scavenger
Perk 3: Tactical Mask

Tactical: Trophy System
Wildcards: Perk 1 Greed + Perk 2 Greed

i once topped a scoreboard of domination with only 4 kills when the person below me had like 30 or something

FHJ-18 AA isn't completely needed though, you could probably swap it out for a second Trophy System if you felt like it.

Every time I have tried using the riotshield in Black Ops 2 I die getting shot through it, then on the killcam it shows the enemy flanking to my side as I stand there looking straight ahead like an idiot because on my screen he was 5 feet to the right.

Getting the Assault Shield Gold isn't actually that bad, the only challenge that sounds crap is Ronin, get 25 kills with the Assault Shield with no perks equipped, the rest are:

Carbon Fiber - Get 1000 score from blocking enemy fire.
Cherry Blossom - Get 25 Hatchet kills while using the Assault Shield.
Art of War - Get 25 Shield Bash medals by killing the player shooting at your shield.
Ronin - Which I've said just above.
Skulls - Get 25 kills with the Assault Shield and no weapons equipped.

I was honestly expecting some stuff like, get x amount of kills from behind the cover of your deployed shield and some bloodthirsty medal bullshit too.

Just noticed that the free-weekend version of Black Ops 2 just hides itself one it's over so it can't be removed directly via steam as it hogs up 4.8 gigs of space.

Just added the Assault Shield to my Gold Weapon collection, is it the Ballistic Knife, Crossbow and Assault Shield that all go together for Diamond? Or does the Combat Knife count with them too?

Well the randomness of the knife actually hitting anything makes it a bit uuuh at times, but other than that it's good. Oh and campers kinda ruin the fun too.
Better than Sharpshooter at least.

you just need a bit of tactics to get to people. so far i've managed to get merciless with knife two times and bloodthirsty a couple of times. only thing i need now is 2 more bloodthirsty to unlock the skull camo and then i'll have the golden knife. but the free weekend is over and i won't get some cash untill friday so i'll unlock it then i guess :v:

The FHJ and its destroy 10 player controlled aircraft is taking me forever. I'm only at 7 and I hardly see any player controlled aircraft. Along with the destroy a dragonfire with the SMAW challange. So damn specific.

The Dragonfire with an SMAW is easy; shoot it until it's smoking first
also I shot down one with my RPG, the RPG shooting down an air vehicle is much harder.

by chance are you playing on pc because if so that might explain the lack of player controlled aircraft but I see 'em all the time
