i'd like to think that 90% of this is common knowledge but i always love XboxAhoy's videos
I'm going to watch all 5 videos tomorrow morning, Polish YouTube servers overloaded as always and I cannot even watch in 240p.
Just finished the MW3 campaign in less than 4 hours, wow, that's the shortest campaign I've ever played in an FPS game.
I think Brink was shorter, maybe Homefront
Wait Brink had a campaign?
I think Brink was shorter, maybe Homefront
daaamn
MW3 took me 5 hours on normal, Homefront took 4.5 on normal, Brink took 4 hours. Battlefield 3 singleplayer was 3 hours 15 minutes :X.
I think Brink was shorter, maybe Homefront
Yeah. I didn't mind the length of Modern Warfare 3, because in my opinion it was a ton of fun and they did a pretty good job not just having a bunch of samey corridor shooting segments, what with having air support you call down sometimes, car chases, shooting from an AC-130, using drone things, etc etc [editline]8th April 2012[/editline]
Battlefield 3 singleplayer was 3 hours 15 minutes :X.
The singleplayer of Battlefield 3 was short as hell, and really bad as a story, too.
I didn't even bother with BF3, I played through the first two missions and then went straight to multiplayer and never looked back.
The singleplayer of Battlefield 3 was short as hell, and really bad as a story, too.
The first level was such a tease. It was awesome moving around as a squad, ducking from snipers, and clearing buildings. But then it moved into CoD-esque "umg nukes" and went to hell. Plus some of the levels were just obnoxious, like the 20 minute extended quick time event/point click adventure that was the jet level. It's hard to compare it to MW3's campaign and say it's much worse, because it really isn't, but CoD's campaigns have gotten to the point where they are fun enough without being too complex. Battlefield meanwhile had a lot of potential with the massive map sizes and vehicle gameplay but didn't include hardly any of that, and ultimately the final hour or so of Battlefield 3 is practically a Call of Duty game. Skydiving into an enemy mansion filled with mercenaries and killing dozens as a 3 man team, sprinting down a hill and mowing down a division of Russian elite paratroopers with a fraction of the numbers, all culminating in a hilariously contrived subway sequence and car chase where the player himself stops a nuke from going off in Times Square. Basically, both campaigns feel kind of lazily done and are obvious extended tutorials for the real meat of the game, the unlock-fueled multiplayer. The problem is that CoD has perfected lazy campaigns to the point where they are kinda fun, where DICE (in their defense, new to this concept (not really but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt a 3rd time)) just made an outright bad campaign. The first level was enjoyable, and some of the later parts with the Marines were as well, but the 3 hours it took to finish were harder to stay engaged than any 5-8 hour long CoD campaign.

All the characters were likeable, and the plot was original in that you were fighting all the big terrorist bad guys and you were helping America, but you weren't really doing it on purpose, you just wanted your gold. I don't give DICE the benefit of the doubt because they made a good single player, and then immediately made two shitty ones. They obviously have the capability to make good ones, but they don't.
That's usually what happens with servers on anything. Makes me wonder why people love server browsers so much.
PC dedis aren't popular because they are not ranked, no custom classes
Playing through the Black Ops campaign again, probably the most fun one in the series. Hopefully Black Ops 2 will live up to it. Think it would be neat if you played from the Russian perspective.

But aside from that, it's like Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3 were literally copying Call of Duty scripts instead of having that whole parodying and black comedy aspect Bad Company 1 had, so it's just weird how they've shifted so much.

Hi! i got a ps3 like way back in november and the only game that came with it is Mw3 and it's still p. much the only game i own and play i've been looking into elite yesterday, is there a Facepunch mw3 clan or something? btw anyone who wants to play -> 'i-Lucc' is my PSN name [editline]10th April 2012[/editline] btw what are some good mw3 weapon loadouts im currently running: ACR with skorpion sidearm, G36C (soon gold) with a rocketlauncher, PP90M1 (gold!! and with increased fire rate attachment) with skorpion and i used Striker for a while but I figured that 9/10 times the PP90 or G36C have a fast enough fire rate + damage combination that i'll outpace others anyway
Got max level on all assault rifles, smgs, secondaries, most of the snipers, and some of the shotguns.
I wish there was more variation with the sniper rifles, there are only really three and the rest are just reskins.
Anyone know how to fix the glitch in CoD4 where nothing shows up in the server browser?

Playing Black Ops again. The campaign is really awesome even though I've beaten it twice before and the multiplayer is a lot more fun than MW3. Can't wait for Blops 2.

Started playing Black Ops again. Am I just good or are people just terrible at that game? I can usually get chopper gunner + dogs every few games and pretty much always get a k/d over 2.
Black Ops is crazy easy now for some reason, which is weird because you'd think only the veterans of Black Ops would remain, but instead it seems like everyone is brand new at the game.

People called me a hacker a lot.
I wish I was good enough to be called a hacker often. But it's probably because I keep trying out new things, for instance I've been using USAS a lot. Thus my KDR is always stuck at 1.02-1.05.
My experience on MW3 online... join a S&D game half-way through, leaves game and joins another S&D to find out it was the one i'd just left. True story.
So my friend told me to use extended mags and damage profession on USAS. Went better than expected.
I tried being so random on Mw3 last night, I hid next to a tree for a whole game pretending to be a bush.... was awesome, till I died.
